Christian Stellini - Acting Head Coach for a small part of the season

He still got the bricky end of the stick. Conte left when we were still more or less in the race. Stellini was left to hang to dry. He got badly exposed when he could have left with his mentor. From that point of view, you can feel sorry for him.

He didnt have to take the job. He could have refused. Agree he was exposed, but he's a big boy in a high profile role - if you can't take the heat...

Ryan knows the club and the players too well, this is not the answer.

Fck this is a clown Club, Levy is killing this Club.

This is a 6 game appointment.....there's no need to lose your brick or any sleep over it.

We're finishing 5th-8th....we know this already...we might as well switch off (like the team) until June. Embrace the time you've just gained doing something else.

I was under the impression (could be wrong of course) that he did so as a favour to the club. Remember that his stock was pretty high after he won his first few games in charge. Plus, if he'd left with the rest of the staff, it would have been effectively game over one month ago. Turns out that was game over anyway but at least, we gave it a shot. I can't say I'm gonna cry myself to sleep but I wouldn't want to be in his shoes.

He was probably offered a chunky bonus if we qualified for the CL, and he probably realised that he was never going to get a chance at a club as big as Spurs again

He'll be fine - he'll end up as Conte's assistant wherever he lands next

Conte's mouthed off about us Daniel...

He has? Ok he has to go, who shall we hire?

I'll ask Fabio for his latest list... Oh.... His numbers disconnected?

Yes we let him go.

Cristian is still downstairs, his bag was a little heavier than Antonio's....Antonio never really unpacked....

He did well under pressure earlier this year, give him the job for now....

Shouldn't we review his managerial background? After all we are 4th, 5th, 6th, in the Premier league?

I'm sure he'll be fine it's only ten games.

...
...
...

Who's idea was Stellini? Honestly a back four, with Porro? What was he thin....

You chose him Daniel.

Oh.

Whose downstairs?

Ryan is still around, we never sack him despite his being part of the last 52 back room teams....

Ahhh perfect. He really outshone Ledley in the coaching department didn't he....

So we are asking Ryan to step in... Again?

Yes it's only 6 games.... What can go wrong?

So was the 'Player Committee' instrumental in the sacking decision? I assume Levy Daniel would have taken soundings, given there's no DoF layer. So have the players said 'we can't play for him'?'
In which case, are they going to make the extra effort now for Mason?

He should've sacked half the player committee while he was at it. I wonder did Mason have any input.

"I met with the Player Committee today - the squad is determined to pull together to ensure the strongest possible finish to the season. We are all clear we need to deliver performances which earn your amazing support."

Who do you think is in the player committee?

Don’t know, but I’m just delighted to hear they’re going to put some effort in now. It’s really very good of them.

Not sure about this "Player Committee" thing. That's a potentially very worrying development in my opinion. A group of players have the ear of the chairman. How does any manager not feel undermined by that?

I couldn't see Fergie, Clough or any of those boys tolerating a player committee. I know the game has changed but I'd be amazed if Pep or Klopp would tolerate it either.

Anyone listening to that lot after yesterday’s farce needs their head read.

Agreed. And I think this is part of our problem. We view these players, to varying degrees, as relatively weak minded but talented lads who should do better and be accountable for their performances. Levy seems to view them as financial assets. Both are true to a degree but when you start to look at it more in the latter way, you're less likely to upset those players and more likely to give them influence they shouldn't have.

The mess gets messier.
