Cheatski are still scum

Or maybe property developer Nick Candy wants to property develop. Asset strip, demolish the stadium, build student flats, and send Chelsea off to become QPR's tenants!

I thought the whole issue with Stamford Bridge is that they can't redevelop it (or at least expand it), because it's so hemmed in by the railway lines?

That was a major problem, but they have planning permission for a stadium where they build over the railway lines and dig down for the pitch. This is one reason it was so expensive and need RA. That's before he flounced off because he was asked how he got his money/

Lovely thought. But he'd have to build around the pitch, as Abramovitch doesn't own that. (I assume the pitch is the whole footprint of the stadium).

Wasn't it also going to mean at least 3 years at Wembley as it was going to take so long, due to the complexity? And that's before any wiring setbacks come to light at the last minute...

They can carry on football related activities though.
So doesn't this effectively mean the only limitation is further direct investment by Abramovich? Which has already happened, the money is already there.

Given the significant impact that today’s sanctions would have on Chelsea football club and the potential knock on effects of this, the Government has this morning published a licence which authorises a number of football-related activities to continue at Chelsea. This includes permissions for the club to continue playing matches and other football related activity which will in turn protect the Premier League, the wider football pyramid, loyal fans and other clubs. This licence will only allow certain explicitly named actions to ensure the designated individual is not able to circumvent UK sanctions. The licence will be kept under constant review and we will work closely with the football authorities.
