I reckon it's to do with how many teams can get each team. i.e. If 5 teams can draw Bayern, and 6 can draw PSG then we'll more likely get Bayern than PSG.

This is not based on any knowledge btw, don't know how many teams can draw bayern or PSG

It's on Eurosport and BT sport, I've put on eurosport as there's some football magazine show on first.

I made the right decision because it's interesting, but there's a feature about Chapocoense that's put me on the verge of tears..

Good point - pretty sure you're correct actually . Juve + Sevilla are the only clubs with teams from their league in pot 1, so prob why there's a slightly higher chance we would draw them.

Would love that Chelsea vs Barca to be drawn. Also Liverpool vs Real Madrid would make me chuckle, as reckon Madrid would own them.

It's clever stuff, all based on the chances of whatever balls are in the pot for each team. For example, because the Chelsea opponent pot only contains PSG, Barca and Besiktas, those three teams are, conversely, much less likely to be drawn with anyone else.

Similarly, Roma and Barca being group winners means that we have more chance of drawing Juve and Sevilla than Basel, Bayern, Shaktar or Porto.

Of course, probabilities mean very little. We all know Chelsea will draw Besiktas, Liverpool will get an easy draw, and we'll get Bayern or Juve.

I got £10 on Chelsea drawing Barca so it's not happening.
