How quickly you forget
Given that we've just dropped a lead again heading into half-time, I'm not sure what you're getting at, tbh. Is it that we should want more than a two-goal lead to relax? If so, fair enough.
How quickly you forget
It is really strange that our qualification to the CL has been largely overshadowed by our league title race. Our main target at the start of the season was a top 4 finish to qualify to the CL. But somehow we end up in the title race, making us forget about the CL qualification. We failed in the title race but ended up qualifying for the CL in the process. Remember, this is only the second time that we have qualified to the CL in our history. We should be celebrating it wildly like we did in 2010. But somehow, the failure in the league prevents us from doing so. Really wish we had celebrated the CL qualification at the end of the Chelsea match just to tinkle them off !

set our sights very high, so high in fact that even failure will have in it an echo of glory."
Based on the as it stands position ... in order to reach Pot 2 we'd need a combination of the following:So looks like the only way we could squeeze into Pot 2 is if Porto and Donetsk lose in the qualifiers and Liverpool win the EL.....Pot 3 will do fine in that case!
So thats Barcelona, Borussia Dortmund and Besiktas then.
Would it make a difference if Bassong wasn't suspended?Based on the as it stands position ... in order to reach Pot 2 we'd need a combination of the following:
(a) CL winner NOT to win La Liga
(b) Liverpool to win EL
(c) There are 3 higher ranked teams in the play-offs (Emirates Marketing Project, Porto & Shakhtar). If both (a) and (b) occur we'd need 2 of the 3 to lose. If only 1 of the above occurs we'd need all of them to fail to reach the group stage.
I nominate this for the Most Useless Post... Everrr category. Especially the bolded part. The teams for the first qualifying round are more less known.
Seeded:
The New Saints (WAL)
Valletta FC (MAL)
Flora Tallinn (EST)
FC Santa Coloma (AND)
Unseeded:
B36 Torshavn (FAR)
Lincoln Red Imps (GIB)
Aleshkert FC (ARM)
The final team will come from San Marino, where they're currently having a championship playoff.
Aleshkert are 9 points ahead of second placed Shirak with 3 games to go. Though they meet in the final round it shouldn't come down to that game.

Well, in that case, that would be HUGE!Ignoramus. Shirak would actually go into the seeded pot. Massive gamechanger.
