Was he or was it paper talkBut it seems José was interested in Milik. 25m euros including add ons is not expensive.
I think he may have been but I also think he is keen on a number of strikers

We are the only club that struggles to get transfers over the line? You must be joking...other than Chelsea and City you can find literally every clubs fans complaining about how long it takes their clubs to do deals. Fans of each club seem to think it’s some sort of unique issue with them, because they are focused on the ten players they are being linked with daily and wondering why they haven’t been signed - Levy is no better or worse than most others when it comes to concluding deals. He just gets more coverage because he is one of the toughest negotiators....The cheapest option of which no elite clubs are going for ... we are getting sold down the river chaps.
Why is it that we are the only club that struggles to get transfers over the line? Why are we plying in a different market to other like for like clubs?

Ehhh.... That's how ANY business is run! You try to get as much as you can for sales, and buy as cheaply as possible. United, the biggest club in the world, have a truckload of defenders they can't get rid of, and they've been trying to sign Sancho for 3-4 months, with no result. The only signing they have made, is one they didn't need. That's just one example, and it's the same at almost every other club.Toughest negotiators is right, wants to charge a premium to sell players and pay the minimum to sign them ... then complains that we have not shifted the deadwood to free up funds.

The guy has had big injury issues, over valued his worth and isn’t very goodNot seen him play but 25m euros is not a huge fee in the context of todays game for a position we've needed to strenghten in for ages.
United haven’t got sancho over the lineThe cheapest option of which no elite clubs are going for ... we are getting sold down the river chaps.

United haven’t got sancho over the line
Chelsea took 2 months to get Haivertz over the line and they were the only bidder
It happens

We didn’t fail last summer when we had moneyIt does happen i agree, however we seem to have this every transfer window. Its always a dragged out saga, where more times than not we fail.
No, football is in the entertainment industry, and is a business like any other. And you and I have no fudging clue or insight in the transfer dealings, whether someone has made an offer for a player, what they offered, or what the club wants, so your argument is pretty much invalid. There are many circumstances that have to come together for a transfer to be made. You need a club wanting a player, the club ownig the player have to be willing to sell, they have to agree a valuation, and the player and agent needs to be willing to join that club, and they have to agree terms. It's not like going to the fudging supermarket and picking whatever you want/need for a fixed price.Ehhh, that is right in any normal business but football is a niche business. Selling a player for a little less to get traction in the market to benefit the team/squad would make sense no? if it meant that we were stronger, rather than sticking with players that have not worked out in previous seasons.
