I would rather have kept Bale as I'm sure 99% of Spurs fans would have too but I understand why £80m+ was too much to turn down. Suarez would have gone if a bigger club and a bigger offer had come in.
 
Exactly. The best way to look at it s if the situations were reversed. Real bid 86 million for Suarez and Chelsea bid 40 million and 1 for Bale. Suarez would be firing away in La liga and Bale would still be scoring for us. It has nothing to do with the boardrooms at the 2 clubs.

Or he could just as easily be having a season as good as Benteke is having at Villa. The truth is we will never know. As others said, it was nothing to do with Liverpool staying strong - they simply were'nt made a big enough offer. Unfortunetly we were.
 
What a performance last night......the third goal,he was pushed so far off the pitch nearly in the first row and people say he goes down to quickly.

Unbelievable and where would we be if he stayed especially this season where every is stuttering.

I'm glad i be able to see him everytime he comes home.
 
he's incredible, I think he's about to go on a Zlatan like run of winning titles wherever he is, he has a habit of scoring important goals

I have no doubt that had he stayed we'd have won the league at a canter this year
 
The first twenty minutes he was unstoppable,he was everywhere.He played one ball,50 yard pass outside his boot the left back for wales just picked it up in his stride....brilliant.

Siggy played quite well too....so at least he's fit for Saturday.
 
Wales will qualify for a major tournament thanks to Bale. I think he has the ability to single handedly changed Welsh fortunes, and he will.

Absolutely. Add in Ramsey replicating his scum form for them and a couple of other promising/solid youngsters emerging.

The Welsh also produce some amazing cyclists, I like to see a country take sport seriously. I will not comment on Rugby as i am not a **** who watches it.
 
That's what made me really like Bale back when he played left back for us, he was doing that week in week out. I remember against Portsmouth in the FA Cup Semi when he was playing left back and he was running up and down the field all game, knocking the ball past players and just burning them for pace and power. A true one of a kind athlete with the desire and belief that he can be so much more.
 
Feel more love for Bale than Modric watching Madrid now. I actually want Bale to succeed and am happy when he scores. Modric I feel very meh about.
 
GHod he's so good. My gooner mates, probably on a wind up, still don't think he's world class, but Rooney is. Dumbasses.

I know Rooneys won more etc, but IMO he's not even in the same bracket as Bale whose moved into elite class
