If we had a "normal" amount of injuries, we wouldn't be in this position, and no one would question the transfers. People are now blaming everyone and everything for events no one can be blamed for!
The injuries are all caused by poor conditioning (muscular). They aren't bad luck (impact) ones

I’d argue the system does contribute towards the injury level. And we’ve had full teams out on plenty of occasions over the past 18 months with the system shown to have plenty of holes in it.

Watching United shows how changing the manager but not having the right players may mean another period of change
And of course the new wolves guy may show the opposite
Ummm United are just brick. Changing manager was never going to fix them.

I don't even think we need to change manager to fix us. We probably just need to ask the FBs to stop converting into the middle and have the backline sit a little deeper. Ange can do all of that himself.

We have been pretty poor since last years Chelsea game, injuries or no injuries.
Plenty of Ipswich results to balance out the Villa/City results.

No one has said we're the finished article, and we'd win every game if all players were fit, but it's impossible to make a cake with half the ingredients missing. Not to hard to understand that, is it?

If we had vdv instead of gray today elanga would not have had a sniff of that ball.
You're falling into the trap of thinking an unavailable player is Superman. VDV has been excellent in recovery terms for us but we've conceded plenty of counter goals with him on the pitch. He's not perfect, he can't judge every situation peerlessly.

And let's say you're right, we knew well before the game started that VDV was not going to be available so maybe we should have adjusted for that fact...?

You have no way of knowing that. Romero and VDV were probably rushed back, but other than that, none of us have any insight into it.
There's no excuse for serious pros getting hamstring injuries. Our sports scientists get flag warnings long before anyone is at risk of doing one and should be pulling players out of sessions accordingly. We have 4 players out with them

Yeah but have some of the ingredient you can maybe make a cake that doesn’t rise
Some may be fine with that

I don't really think it's much of a trap to believe that the player in the league is not getting to ball, or at worst getting close enough to elanga to prevent the shot.

Your just embarrassing yourself. Again! It might be possible to have a rough estimate when the hamstring is overworked from basic fatigue, but this is football, with stretching, bending, twisting, knocks etc. A lot of unknown external factors that can appear at any time!
But if you know all this, I'm amazed you aren't hired anywhere to sort these issues out!

Tbh I don't why the cheap skate levy hasn't save himself a fortune and sacked munn and lange, jettisoned ange and half of the players and turned to the GG board geniuses.
I mean it's all really easy, and I'm sure between us we could fill all those positions and sweep the board of trophies.

In all honesty I'll hold my hand up and say I can also be tarred with the brush of 'professional physio not hired or with PRO license' LOL...it just feels like our conditioning is not in line with how we play/train. It seems unthinkable that couch and terrace warriors like me could even have the cheek to think we can spot these things, but as I posted elsewhere, I wonder if we run a professional grade program versus a bespoke one per player/load/physical make-up? I wonder if yoga is a mandated part of what we do?
