Re: hamstring injuries
If players currently spend 5 minutes doing hamstring stretches and 55 minutes doing other weights / stretches / jumps / lunges / balances.
We should tweak the ratio and get them to spend #longer doing hamstring stretches.
Yet none of us know how long they spend on hamstring stretches. I'd like to think it is a lot more than expected.

Aspies, are you allowed to say that?
Absolutely you are.
I usually refer to myself as Aspie when talking about being autistic with people who I. Haven't met me in person - so are likely extrapolate negative assumptions from the word autism or II. Have met me but still have bias about what autism should look like (ie low functioning).

Aspie is a useful term to create a bit of separation between so called "high performing" and "low performing" autism.

These terms are, of course, all general parlance in allistic (non autistic) society and mostly coined by allistic people.

Much of the above is frustrating (the "low" Vs "high"; the use of Asperger's because of Dr Asperger's history etc) - but a necessary part of a journey in how society understands and accepts autism. And that's why I tactically use the terms interchangeably - to help educate and normalise.

We wanted slot
He wanted to come
They wanted £15m which we wouldn’t pay
I posted on here last year before Ange that I knew some Dutch guys who were in coaching over there who told em before it was in the press (not the release fee by the way)
He is a great coach and has done so well so far

All well and good but at Liverpool he inherited a nearly finished product and good squad. He would have needed to so the same as Ange at Spurs and totally refresh the squad in a budget. Who knows if he would have been any good.

We have had some shockers of late
Ange has a syndrome
Women and kids are what’s with with the game
What’s next???
I've heard mention of the women and kids bit - utterly abhorrent.

Not sure if you are linking Ange supposedly having a syndrome with autism - if so, autism isn't a syndrome, it's a disorder. (A term which in and of itself is misleading - but that's where we are in society right now)

You shouldnt do hamstring stretches. Static stretches are a big no no - its more harmful than not stretching at all. Dynamic stretching is the only thing that works

Not me
It’s Gutter Boy
fudging shockingly bad for anyone to call anyone else something derogatory like that IMO

My GHod son has both autism and Asperger’s … he isn’t that bad but the worse thing is the poor lad is a spurs fan so whatever live throws at him it’s never gonna be easy

They are not separate things. "Asperger's" is a historic definition of a set of characteristics displayed by an autistic person - often described as "high performing autism". In current medical terminology it is level 3 autism (with there being levels 1-3; level 1 needing more support).

Also, there isn't a "that bad" - there are just different levels of support needed to accomodate successful living in a world created by and for allistic people. (Don't even get me started on how it's not the autistic people that actually have the disability in many scenarios!! :p)
He also doesn't "have" autism. Autism isn't a disease or virus. He "is" autistic.

He also supports Spurs - so he's screwed. But at least he'll be able to name all of our players dating back to 1907. On the down side, he'll also remember everything else! 😜

I only go off what his dad tells me
He has been to about 20 games so far with a high win rate so he is one of the generation who hasn’t really seen a crap spurs side
I should have added he has dyspraxia

I don't really think it's much of a trap to believe that the player in the league is not getting to ball, or at worst getting close enough to elanga to prevent the shot.
I hear you but even with VDV players got shots off, players even scored so we have no real idea whether or VDV would have made a difference but I think the bigger issue is we knew we didn't have VDV so should have taken that into account.

No one has said we're the finished article, and we'd win every game if all players were fit, but it's impossible to make a cake with half the ingredients missing. Not to hard to understand that, is it?

At times the cake has been almost inedible even when all the correct ingredients have been added. In fact, it’s often been stale and hard to stomach for around a year now. The baker also seems to struggle to alter the receipe when some of the ingredients are difficult to get.

Even with half our squad out, we blow teams off the park, so when it works, it's works really well. But it needs energy. A lot of energy, so when we're not able to rotate and make subs, we suffer. With a bigger part of the squad available, there's a better chance of it working. Every team has stinkers, even with fully fit squads, so it's only natural that with only a handful of fit players, result will be inconsistent.

It's better to try to win, than sit back and concede late, like we did A LOT under Conte and Mourinho.

What utter nonsense. We haven't blown teams off the park. We have lost 9 games out of 18, 2 more than we have won.

Also we didn't try and win at all today. We didn't try and win at Liverpool. We haven't tried to win for months apart from Southampton who rolled over for us.
