I just can’t see them getting rid before the first leg of the semi-final. Lose that in a way that suggests we won’t recover in the second leg and he’s in serious difficulty, I think.

with our league situation we should be throwing that tournament in the bin anyway, not worth the wasted energy, play the kids and give everyone a much needed rest

One thing is for certain, the club are going through their list of replacements..

Yep, you would think there has to be a shortlist building in the background now.

Ange really has to prove that he is competent enough to operate at this level over these next few weeks. If he sticks to his guns, I fear he won't make February. It's time for him to be really practical now.

We are still within a shout of the Europa league, although it looks like we might have to go through the play offs for that thanks to as not being able to beat anyone.

Get someone in now

If we lose against Wolves then that has to be the end of him.

No signs of any improvements or Ange learning. If he can't show a willness to adapt in order to turn things around then he doesn't beong managing at this level. Sticking by certain players, Son especially, no matter how they are playing is also going to cost him.

Unlike some, I'm OK with the Mason/Wells partnership. Mason has done a decent job of getting the MIB neuralyzer gun out and unscrambling some players brains. He has put them into some simple and pragmatic formations and let them play to their strengths.

Saying that, this time we have Lange around as well. Would he get more practically involved with day to day affairs?

Unless we’re going to give him the job full-time, though, it’ll feel like treading water for 6 months until we get someone else in.

The January window is a worry now. We need to buy, but can’t see the board being too willing to give Ange any players he wants.

I'm not sure we operate in a "players Ange wants" mode anyway. I think there is an entire intelligent database and Ange is consulted on the process of acquiring new players, obviously with a major voice. I'm sure Ange looks at the data with the recruitment team and offers his opinion. I would think he has the power of veto as well on any signing.

I could see a scenario where some Lange targets came in if Ange was gone.

2 points from a possible 21 against Leicester, Brighton, Palace, Ipswich, Fulham, Bournemouth and Forest.

Even with a couple of these teams performing above expectations this season, that’s pretty damning.

These are the teams/games I would have expected such a renowned attacking manager to make his mark in - we've looked blunt/clueless in all of them
