Honestly how are you all reading my posts and not getting this? I don’t care if it’s Ange, Conte, Poch or fudging some bloke from the pub. I don’t think singing “you don’t know what you’re doing” is ever acceptable — and most certainly never fudging helpful.

It happens in all walks of life. Do you remember how schoolkids behave when they sense a teacher isn't up to the job. Or hecklers at bad comedy. It's just human nature if you're being made to suffer on account of someone who is overstretching.

Obviously have compassion. But people doubling down on their incompetence can be hard to stomach.

Get out clause? Do me a favour. Singing that at any manager is absolutely pathetic. It was pathetic when it happened with Nuno too. Our fans quite clearly have form with this sort of nonsense. If you're happy to excuse it...good for you. I don't see it as helpful and I think anyone who sings it or excuses it is a clam.

Like I said...it just shows how out of touch with other Spurs fans I am.
Likening Ange's treatment to Nuno's is wide of the mark imo. Nuno was treated badly by everyone, fans and board. Ange hasn't been. He is the master of his own demise.

If we lose on Sunday, I will certainly be singing "you don't know what you're doing" at Ange. Football can be cruel but it is a results business, and this combination of manager and players is dreadful. If Son or Maddison are poor - don't pick them, etc etc etc

tbh maybe ange hasn’t realised that he doesn’t know what’s he’s doing.

we all do though, so it’s actually quite helpful for him to have it pointed out

Tis the new excuse

He hasn't been treated badly

In fact it's the opposite he's served up crap for 18 months and no one has really got on his back.

Apart from a newly promoted side I can't really recall a manager who has been this dreadful result wise and still had the backing from the fans he has had

The oddest part is Ange has said numerous times he won't tell the fans how to feel, clearly not true.

In what world is slagging off your own manager helpful?

Spurs fans are clams. Every other week there's protests against the owners, all happening with different groups with the own issues and often looking to build their own profile. You've got fans goading and abusing the players and managers for social media videos. Brennan Johnson literally disabling social media to get away from the hate.

There's a trend here. Ange has not been perfect, I've said that many times. But own fans are very much part of the problem. This situation is absolutely not getting any better with the next manager. The same thing will happen.

I have lost faith and patience in Ange (after wanting him to succeed more than I have any other manager we have - I like and relates to his story)

But I also pretty much agree with everything you have said there.

Nuno was treated much worse than Ange I agree
And Nuno didn’t do anything wrong
Well there was that creepy 'make you proud' video.

But no i agree - good guy, decent manager, wrong circumstance - especially because of the Mourinho toxicity and craving for more possession based football again.

It also went a bit unmarked, but it was positive having our first permanent black manager (Hughton and Ramsey obviously both having caretakered previously)

Mostly though, Nuno was treated awfully by the senior players, especially the sulky England captain who just gave himself an extra week in Miami after not joining City. When he returned he didn't do a damn thing asked of him by his manager. Hojbjerg was just as bad, just jogging around and getting caught walking over the half way line when the ball was hitting our net. I was at the infamous Utd game at our place. I watched Ronaldo and especially that model professional Cavani who was about 34 at the time. They had proper senior professionals, unlike our entitled bunch of pricks.

Of course, the fans were going to turn on Nuno. Some of those yellow bellies had stopped working for Poch, then Jose and just continued as they left off with Nuno. The fans just took the obvious narrative that Nuno wasn't good enough to manager our superstars. The results were because of players unwillingness to follow their manager's guidance. The results were inevitable. The sacking was inevitable and shows how player power works in football.

What I hope I'm learning at the moment is that we have the wrong manager but the right players. I didn't see those players pulling the same antics to Ange as the previous toxic ones did to our previous managers. This bunch of players look like they have more about them.

I think we have some wrong players too
Said if loads but when ouch came in he selected his leadership group but 6 months in he realised they weren’t with him so he binned them off
Ange hasn’t done that and it’s clear to me that they aren’t with him

Which players weren’t with him 6 months in?

Now, I think you would struggle to find a player that is still with him, but a year ago I’m not sure any of the players had checked out.

Agree they hadnt checked out but most were still on the medical table
But they also showed no leadership
If you choose cowards to lead you have issues

We've only one leader in the team and that's Kulu, yet he isn't part of the leadership team, it's a joke. Son is a legend but not a leader, Madders is a nice bloke but not a leader, and Romero doesn't look committed to us. None of them should be near a leaders group.

I think the young players show leadership
Kulu I agree and vicario too
People will say it’s not important but it was for Chelsea yesterday

I find the whole concept of a leadership group ridiculous, but they're obviously chosen because they're strong figures in the dressing room.
