Mostly though, Nuno was treated awfully by the senior players, especially the sulky England captain who just gave himself an extra week in Miami after not joining City. When he returned he didn't do a damn thing asked of him by his manager. Hojbjerg was just as bad, just jogging around and getting caught walking over the half way line when the ball was hitting our net. I was at the infamous Utd game at our place. I watched Ronaldo and especially that model professional Cavani who was about 34 at the time. They had proper senior professionals, unlike our entitled bunch of pricks.
Of course, the fans were going to turn on Nuno. Some of those yellow bellies had stopped working for Poch, then Jose and just continued as they left off with Nuno. The fans just took the obvious narrative that Nuno wasn't good enough to manager our superstars. The results were because of players unwillingness to follow their manager's guidance. The results were inevitable. The sacking was inevitable and shows how player power works in football.
What I hope I'm learning at the moment is that we have the wrong manager but the right players. I didn't see those players pulling the same antics to Ange as the previous toxic ones did to our previous managers. This bunch of players look like they have more about them.
