I still hope Ange can turn this around and show us what he can do.

The issue is that he keeps mentioning the injuries and players being exhausted.

He didn't rotate until he was forced to.

The way we are set up, we ask players to cover a lot of ground, even with the adjustments he has made. As soon as we lose the ball we need players to cover space to get back into position.

I'm sure there is a table somewhere showing we make the most defensive sprints in the league, and that's due to the spaces we leave by pushing so many players forward while trying to play out from the back.

ange is a likeable fella so people on here are more patient with him i guess

Still about 50:50 but things are shifting with each game...remember you can change your vote!

Moore isn’t ready, he looks like one hell of a prospect but he is a kid, not yet grown into his body and does not have the game experience. We can’t rely on a 17yr old yet
But son literally is hiding
He is avoiding the ball
If Ange can’t give Moore a go he is sacking himself
Son is giving him nothing for many reasons
Moore created the chance that son kicked at their keeper don’t forget

I missed that. Was it as bad as the one against Leicester or any other game he has played recently?

Yea I agree about Son unfortunately, at least this version of Sonny. With Odobert due back I’m hoping either he refinds his form with a rest or Odobert takes his spot.

I voted in when the pole was published.
I will not change my vote, mainly because I always try to back the manager.
Their failure is our failure, their failure is our misery, i can't honestly hope for anything other than a win for us, even a win if it means keeping a manager that I really did not want, jose for instance.
If we appointed sol Campbell as manager I would still want him to win.
I can't see a future for ange at our club, when he leaves I will thank him for his efforts and get behind the new man.

Let's say Ariola is our top target and he's only available in the summer - then we surely have to wait until then instead of hire say Potter or Southgate now, no? I don't think we should be desperate to just get another head in.

If we could get a decent caretaker we should obviously take it though.
Ange is damaging the players, mentally and physically. Mason at least has 2.5 months repairing some of the damage and turning things back in the right direction again. Unscrambling heads and repairing bodies

We had a good enough team not to s*** the bed in the first half from the first whistle. Not to leave gaping holes in the midfield. Not to concede about 4 or 5 good chances in the first 20 minutes. I've posted on here that we don't have a single player in the top 20 for minutes played and only 2 in the top 50. Yet people lap this idea up that we are s*** because they're all fatigued due to injuries. It's total ho*** s***. Danso and Tel have barely played this season. Bentancur, Moore and Bergvall are on low games for the season. Spence didn't get a look in until December or so. Yet the reason we couldn't match Villa's work rate and the reason we looked ragged is fatigue. I'm sick of hearing it.
At some point, under Conte, we were one of the top teams in the league for distance covered but nobody used that as an excuse when things turned sour. Just like everyone else, I wanted him to succeed but a) injuries aren't some kind of divine curse - if you get a lot of them (and assuming they're not contact injuries), it means you're doing something wrong and b) what happened in the first half of the Everton game was the last straw for me.

For what it's worth, I think he'll stay until the end of the season. People (myself included) obviously want to believe but I can't think of a single manager who ever bounced back after such a miserable patch of form.

The reality of the matter is that injuries are part and parcel of football.
Our injury list is horrendous ( and it’s not worth getting into a debate on Postegoglu’s methods and the effect they had), but i doubt very much it’s unprecedented.

That’s no excuse for a professional football team to go be so atrocious game after game and not being able to affect it.

There are numerous issues and getting rid of postecoglu won’t solve them all but at this level he is an awful manager. I had my suspicions about him since that chelsea game and would happily have seen him let go in the summer, we stuck with him and he has made us worse.

As others have said the likelihood that he can turn this around is unlikely in the extreme.

It was a bad descision to hire him, it’s an even worse decision to persist with him

Danso = new signing
Tel = 19 years old never having played in the Prem
Bentancur = poor
Moore = 17 years old and having lready been laid out with an illness
Bergvall = 18 years old and playing well

Porro, Son, Deki, all seniors, all absolutely cu-n-ted and unable to step up and BE the difference makers.
Bissouma, absolutely unable to step up because he's inconsistent.

Spence and Gray have been great.

I want to see what he can do with a full squad (not one where players are only back for a game or two) so has until the end of the season for me.

Straight after a loss I admit my patience falters and I do sit there and thinks he has to go, but he is right in what he says in this interview.

you must be kidding me? does our form since those first 10 games last season mean nothing to you?

he's had plenty of time and plenty of fit players (perhaps barring this last period), and we've been rubbish.

the injuries have highlighted what a tactical mess he is, and he's killing some of these kids with his stupid decisions.

should have gone months ago, has to go now.
