Left with the impression that sacking or no sacking, we're in for a shed load of disappointment.

As Xpressions said on YouTube after Leicester:

'How can you win trophies when you don't win games?'

I think we're in for a horrible long rot sadly.

Things can turn quickly in football. Get the right coach in for the myriad of talented young players we have, and who knows where we are 2-3 years from now? It's brick now and most of us want Ange gone, but no point being too gloomy. We'll obviously be back again. Only a matter of time.

the sooner we get it done, the sooner the next manager can work out what they want in the summer window

Ange is getting sacked, no excuse for wasting time

Let's say Ariola is our top target and he's only available in the summer - then we surely have to wait until then instead of hire say Potter or Southgate now, no? I don't think we should be desperate to just get another head in.

If we could get a decent caretaker we should obviously take it though.

No manager and certainly not Ange is going to ever have a fully fit squad, football just doesn't work like that. I will say though that he had close to a full squad at the start of the season and the results weren't promising.
not really, most important player in his lineup is VDV. He has been out since:

Aug - Sep
Oct - Now

So he played for a few games only, hardly gotten up to speed when he did come back. Dragusin was a step down as we lost that pace that the team needs. Might be different now we have Danso but still missing Romero. Like I said, Injuries to not only first teamers but the most important ones have been ridiculous

I think we’re missing Johnson loads too because it mean Kulu can play central and also have a rotation on the right

Part of me feels sad for Ange as he is a very good talker and truly believes this team and squad is going to be outstanding, he just said it.

Is it delusional? Have I seen any glimpses that we can be an outstanding team? Yes, but then the following week we would be horrific, and then back to winning, and then horrific the next week.

I think I'll feel sad when he eventually gets sacked as I'd like to see if he can make us the team he thinks we will be, but I just feel that another manager will make us a more consistent team, that may not be easy to beat.

Liking his vision and his approach is fine

Issue is, he can't buy a result

Again, we were so loose, so naive, so all over the place in that first half tonight. And its CONSISTENTLY been the ball into midfield into a massive void then a simple ball through or over the top. EVERY team of any quality can play this move against us and hurt us. F***ing Rangers did it in the Europa League and created a sh** tomne. It's been a weakness since teams figured out how we play after the first quarter of last season and NOTHING has been done to plug the gap. It's indefensible and honestly those that continue to support this manager in the face of constant evidence may as well sign up for Dr. Wakefield's book and take their kids off vaccines at this point....

I really don't want Mason or Wells etc to hold the fort. The club have had plenty of time to assess and sound out coaches in recent weeks/months.. Even if they think Iraola or Poch won't take it now then they need to choose someone who will. I dont want a couple of decent Mason games then fall apart and amble on til the Summer

Poch as interim until end of season.
He's an international manager, he could easily fit it in/get leave or whatever.
If it works out, fences are mended we get him in full time.

We are missing everyone, he says the players just don’t have the energy to press hard after playing thurs/fri for 2 and a half months of the same players and he isn’t wrong and we can see that press that was so evident previously is non existent.
We can’t rest Sonny (normally Odobert or even Werner), Can’t rest Kulu (Johnson/Maddison) and expect 17yr/18yr olds to suddenly be Gazza or something.

Now I’m not saying Ange is the answer, or that we may find he is out of his depth but am I hell going to judge that based on how we are right now

Villa didn't have a fit CB after Konsa went off. Its such a weak excuse at this point honestly.

So Villa finally understand what it’s like to have no defenders, now let them try for 2 and a half months without those players. Only why not add their entire strike force to the list, oh and while we are at it, the first choice keeper, oh and finally lets throw injuries to the midfielders as well.

See how ridiculous your argument seems now?

We can rest sonny
Just play Moore left
He ain’t eating sonny because he believe he needs him and relying on Norman player is exactly why he will get sacked

We had a good enough team not to s*** the bed in the first half from the first whistle. Not to leave gaping holes in the midfield. Not to concede about 4 or 5 good chances in the first 20 minutes. I've posted on here that we don't have a single player in the top 20 for minutes played and only 2 in the top 50. Yet people lap this idea up that we are s*** because they're all fatigued due to injuries. It's total ho*** s***. Danso and Tel have barely played this season. Bentancur, Moore and Bergvall are on low games for the season. Spence didn't get a look in until December or so. Yet the reason we couldn't match Villa's work rate and the reason we looked ragged is fatigue. I'm sick of hearing it.
