Can't get the team motivated and get a reaction after the brick show against Liverpool. Looks to me that the players no longer believe in him. If that's the case then there's no hope for him.

I've been pro Ange up until today, but wavering now. I'm not sure how he turns this around. Still, if the players are behind him, then I would give him until the end of the season. There's no decent manager out there that's available that we would want to hire long-term and I don't want Mason taking the reigns again.

P45 in the post from the wonderful gleaming, brilliant football chairman, that is Daniel Levy.

To be fair to him, saw the gaps saw where it was going make a change and the players just didn't want to win because this is Tottenham, they're allergic to success. They are allergic to winning trophies. They actually are scared of it. The Thought of winning something sends a shiver down their spine each time think of lifting in something aloft, oh well. Don't worry, Villa. You haven't gone through to the fifth round in GHod knows how long in the FA cup but don't worry, doctor Tottenham is there to cheer you up. They'll have you good as gold in no time.

GET LEVY OUT OF THIS CLUB!!!!!!!

I mean realistically it’s only teams like Swansea, Birmingham City, West Ham, Portsmouth

Who have won trophies more recently than us

We simply cannot compete with those sides financially

So we are told

And sides like Milwall (who have actually reached an FA cup final in my 30 years - unlike us

I don't think that should matter any more

They have been behind him for a long time now, and he either isn't getting a clear message to the players, or the players aren't able to play that way.

But nothing is changing on the pitch. We still look lost, slow and weak.

If Ange is still trying to fix it, he has had the time to do so.

this is so key

the game Thursday, the pressure of the overall situation, and we go out half asleep and concede in 30 seconds with half the defence AWOL

he's just incompetent

Getting him away from the players from a welfare and development point of view outweighs the negatives of having a caretaker till the summer by a long way.

I really don't want Mason or Wells etc to hold the fort. The club have had plenty of time to assess and sound out coaches in recent weeks/months.. Even if they think Iraola or Poch won't take it now then they need to choose someone who will. I dont want a couple of decent Mason games then fall apart and amble on til the Summer

Keeping Anger this long was a fudge up

Not having an option right now would be a colossal fudge up

I’d prefer we waited than we appoint the wrong manager now. That would be shortsighted and impatient. If we can’t get Iraola or Pochettino until the summer then we appoint an interim manager that is neither Mason nor Wells but who can improve us.

Exactly, If you drag it out without potential candidates lined up then I'll be annoyed. I wonder if they have the old Dortmund guy waiting in the wings for a call? Is he still unattached?

True, But your assuming Ange turned to brick overnight and caught us unaware! Any decent club would be monitoring things for sometime and have a shortlist etc

But yes, If the choice is no one good now or Caretaker and wait for Iraola then fair enough

The injuries are having a massive impact, and I can't see the club wanting to take the risk of repeating the pattern again from November next season, whether by coincidence or by design.

Our season now pretty much rests on the Europa League, barring a miracle run in the league (with others dropping enough points too) to get a European place. I can't see this squad uniting (or staying fit enough) under Ange to achieve either of these. Therefore, I feel the change is needed now.

A new manager coming in would have players returning from injury, have the opportunity to work with them in training and implement a (new) system, all of this coinciding with a 'new manager bounce'.

I've been supportive of Ange in general due to his philosophy of how the game should be played. I've sympathetic due to the volume of injuries, but the performances today in the FA Cup vs Villa and the League Cup SF performance on Thursday at Anfield (and even with the exhaustion that some of the squad will have), it feels as though the players aren't fully behind him.
