Rich has been phenomenal all season at defending in our third. It's such an unselfish trait of his,

Of course Frank will set up more offensively. There's only a couple of teams in the PL that have scored less than Sunderland this season. It makes total sense to set this game setup on the front foot.

The reality is Frank has got us playing this way but keeping their xG to 0.07 over 45 mins. Frank will have no problem loosening the reins in these types of games but will set up more defensively in others. It is all about keeping clean sheets and so it should be at this stage.

Some really good stuff from the Gray-Bents axis today. Definitely the right combo for these types of games.

That would be the typical Spurs fans question based on my lifetime. The right question should be whether we can play more progressive football without losing this current defensive record. The even better question would be how do we find the progressive football whilst improving our defensive...

So we now have Muani, Tel, Odobert and Richi on the pitch at the same time. That surely has to be second string to Solanke, Kudus, Madds, Xavi, Kulu etc It's quite exciting to see what they can all do playing together though.

It's all about the salary to turnover ratio apparently.

I think the biggest point though is that we have seldom got it wrong when we've let young players leave. That is, if it is even our choice which it clearly wasn't with Madueke. I do remember at a similar time, Luis Binks walking out of the club as well apparently for feeling too far away from...

Great news about them having 6 players at AFCON. That could work in our favour today. Noticing our 2 midfield guys are playing each other in the quarters on Friday. One will be coming home, unless it's Biss of course. He'll probably just stay there and take in some fun in Casablanca.

Or perhaps we should just buy Wharton, Gomes or Andersen and aim way higher.

Not sure he had a choice to stick around. I've always quite rated him. Just had a look at his stats and he's played 24, scored 4 and assisted twice for PNE who are 6th in the Championship. It would have been interesting to see the Brentford game with him at 10 and Gray back in the double pivot.

I would probably need to see examples of posters saying that. You can probably tell with myself that I don't think the squad is poor as any argument for and against Frank. In fact, I'm into this DOF model where the squad will always keep evolving the squad and let that transcend manager changes...

I think we'll always say that Frank inherited a better overall squad than Poch but not a better core. The interesting part is what comes next. For Poch, what came next was Dier, Toby, Sonny, Dele and Big Vic. If you look across Poch's entire tenure in that tough budget scenario, it is these 5...

Being objective, Poch started with Hugo, Walker, Rose, Vertonghen, Dembele, Eriksen, Kane. Some great club work had been done on a couple of new signings as he joined, namely Dele, Dier and Sonny. Behind that came Toby and eventually Big Vic. All of a sudden we had a major force. Poch rolled up...

    Youri Tielemans

wow - a massive 7 years later and finally the stats have come out in his favour in a single game. He's clearly word class and we should buy him

What song are we currently (a bit of fun here so take in that spirit!)…

One of the beautiful things about the Specials spin-off Fun Boy Three was that the Specials still got to play this song live.

I'll start with Xavi as it's easier. We've seen a tougher Xavi more recently. We're not seeing the player who gets easily shaken off the ball or the one playing at a slightly lower pace. This is where the video analysis and the training ground comes into play with the management team. You don't...

    (Brennan) Johnson Again Olé Olé!

Would it also be fair to say that Spurs don't let him go unless they have a plan to land better in January?
