    Good point :)

    Pre Season 2017

It's not just a case of them booing Sissoko, it's the atmosphere of hate that will be generated against the whole Spurs team. I want a calm as possible not 'extra heated' atmosphere up there. Refs and players are swayed by huge passionate crowds, and I don't want Toon players clattering ours...

    Ross Barkley

Sissoko, as said above, for Toon anyway, cos I don't want him playing up there and antagonising the fans. Let's say Barkley was fit, I would play him and Dembele in CM, assuming Vic will be out, with Dier in a 'back 3' So it doesn't matter even if Sissoko has gone to Turkey, I would find room...

    Fixture & Ticket News 2017/18

I take your point, but I would turn it around. If we don't sell out against Chelsea that's a good indicator we won't sell out v Huddersfield, etc, which is one more reason why it would be great to sell out v Chelsea.

    Moussa Sissoko

If you go on Toon forums/Twitter you will see how much hate there is for him. It's not just that he left, he upset Geordie sensibilities by basically implying (according to them) he's gone to a 'big club' etc etc, and generally dissing the great 'Noocastle haweh canny lad' culture. I can...

    Josh Onomah

I wish Onomah was still with us as there's a great big CM hole opening up with Wanyama injured, Winks still short of his best and Dier maybe moving back to defence.

    Ross Barkley

Can't see Barkley coming till very late in the window if at all. Meanwhile we have massive games coming up with a depleted squad.

    Moussa Sissoko

I thought Sissoko did well yesterday, but precisely because his ex-club hates him, I wouldn't play him at St James'. I think it would turn a hyped atmosphere into a 'hate-fest' and do us no favours at all.

    Fixture & Ticket News 2017/18

Take your point about a 'glass half-full' GL :) As I've said, I think selling out would be great. It would send a brilliant PR message all around the football world, if we broke every English home attendance for our first home Wembley game in the Prem, which we would do in the event of a sell...

    Pre Season 2017

I thought Sissoko played well yesterday, and normally would be happy enough if he filled in at RWB. But I think it would be a major mistake to play him v Toon, as they seem to really hate him up there. The crowd will already be hyped for their Prem return against one of the London 'big boys'...

    Fixture & Ticket News 2017/18

Because there would be huge amounts of empty seats for a London derby between the teams who finished first and second in the league last season. But as I've already said we're going to get substantially more than 70k, so there's no need to worry about that scenario. Looking at seats sold so...

    Pre Season 2017

Good result, lot of positives. Such a shame about Trippier, his cross for Kane was supreme. KWP did really well when he came on. We lack depth though, so please let's have some purchases this week. I think the lad Georghiou shows real promise. So hope Wanyama is back for next week. Massive...

    Fixture & Ticket News 2017/18

Yep, there were no greens to be seen :D yesterday either. Hopefully that's the end of the green blight. About a third of the upper tier is sold out and or very close to it. So roughly that's 48k (the lower tiers effectively sold out) plus 25k sold in the upper tier. It's all guess work, but my...

    Pre Season 2017

Well apparently we're playing the champions of Italy at Wembley today. However, given the intense apathy surrounding the game you'd think it was the build up to a match at Hotspur Way with the champions of Luxembourg. This has been such a downer of a summer so far.

    Fixture & Ticket News 2017/18

I think lots of people care whether we sell out v Chelsea or not, but even if they don't, I certainly do. If we only got 60-70k then I think it would be a PR 'own goal', you think otherwise, no problem. Luckily, I am confident that we will get substantially more than 70k so that particular...

    Fixture & Ticket News 2017/18

Exactly, and it's going to be far worse if Chelsea fans are singing it on the 20th. But with about 74k sold so far, hopefully we won't have hear that cute little refrain :) It's worth noting that even if we officially sell out, there will be gaps as the club count tickets sold and not seats...

    Fixture & Ticket News 2017/18

Yep I checked a little while ago, and I'd say at most 25k have been sold so far. Luckily, that's not a PR disaster for the club as we didn't price the event, but it's still not going to look good tomorrow.

    Fixture & Ticket News 2017/18

It's interesting re the grey areas Ricky, i wonder if those are the seats currently being held back. Re the local residents provision, I think that only applies to the new WHL not Wembley.

    Fixture & Ticket News 2017/18

Well if they do think it's 'good value', then let's see how many buy them. So far there doesn't seem to be a huge take up from the tourist sector, but of course that's just guesswork on my part. I still think that at a much lower price, more would be buying.
