What he probably needs on his CV is a decent stint at a club though. He did 2 seasons at Fulham and 1 season at both other clubs (so far).

He needs to do what Howe, Dyche, Moyes or even Big Sam did with Bolton and stick with one club for a while. Then you see him through the different phases that happen in management.

Success for Parker means staying in the PL, even if that is by goal difference. Kompany couldn't.

I agree, when I played (yawn now) I start in the "W" formation 3-2-5 to 4-2-4 then 4-4-2 finally 4-3-3, being a defender didn't make much of a problem as I was never asked to play in the bizarre zonal marking system.

I’m not sure we’ll find another manager who doesn’t have a completely different style to Ange. All the others seem to think about defending at least some of the time.
