Xavi Simons

If your body isn't in the best condition you are more prone to injury when putting it under stress. Don't know who it was but someone was commenting on the players fitness under Frank and how there appeared to be signs of improvement under Tudor. Pure speculation but if the team had allowed a deterioration in conditioning (perhaps as an overreaction to Ange's regime) it might have exacerbated injury risk. Particularly if you are going from the opposite end of the scale with Ange. Consistency is important for health. Yo yo diets, skipping gym days then going full pelt.....that is bad for your health. The constant chopping and changing of the coaching regime won't help.

Haven’t all these ACL injuries happened during games? Does make you wonder about the retractable pitch rather then training ground. That said, don’t see opponents dropping with injuries in our home games

Not ACLs. They are always over-extensions, never stress related. It's like blaming a broken leg on overuse.

This was an away game and Maddison was in another continent.

You better be ready for the Apostles of Postecoglou to crucify you for daring to question the Gospel according to Ange 😱

To be Frank, I don't mind if accuracy Ange-r's anyone. It seems to be worse over the last couple of years, but it's not new at Spurs. Hell, it could go back to Tudor times.
Francis Drake probably saw it. And you can't argue with his Vene(r)able{s} status. You'd have to be a Burk-enshaw to think otherwise.
Other teams must have a Jol-ly good laugh about it.
(Ok, that's all I've got)[/s]

Are players playing in games because clubs have 40 odds subs they can bring on if they breakdown?
I dislike the number of subs allowed in every squad, both teams have 10 men who should be playing football regularly. Luckily I played most of my football before multiple subs were allowed and although didn't like being taken off it wasn't as bad as being a sub and waiting for your team to be struggling or a mate get injured.

I posted this at the time when I am unaware of the extent of the injury to Xavi.

The knee / ACL injuries has nothing to do with the retractable pitch. It's just a figment of someones conspiracy theory.

Kane, Son and Davies are the three players who have played the most games at the new stadium, none to my memory have suffered a serious knee injury during that period?.

The text below points out the current PL knee/acl injuries suffered this season in the PL. It has nothing to do with the Tottenham pitch, and everything to do (in my humble opinion) with our squad depth and the number of games being played irrespective of how many times the club change their medical team.
