Ok you're missing the point or don't want to see it, I don't know. To answer your question you can certainly say when we have a good performance, that is not the point I'm making but it doesn't matter....

I think you're maybe mixing up performance with points - i don't recall there being anyone saying that a point in either of those games was good but I do remember discussion being that the performances were an improvement and should have won (of which there was some push back from others)

How am I missing the point when you make a statement like that? Surely I am getting the point perfectly, just that you think because those people are not caveating their opinions that some performances have been decent with something negative, they are clutching at straws?

No, I remember it being said regarding point beings decent point and I also remember the performances discussion too. They are two very separate things....

Ah you conveniently cut the quote to miss off the mention of results - got it. You first replied when I mentioned results and nothing to do with performances to go on your rant. I'll let you continue with your point, I'm not invested in it enough to debate. I don't disagree with your point about performances tbh....

I cut that part because originally you mentioned people mentioning points, which I questioned then you added performance. I felt it was worth highlighting because people can mention performances without seemingly being deluded (my original point TBF)

I am debating and testing the robustness of your point? Why are you being so prickly about it?

I'm not being prickly, I just don't understand what triggered you to write paragraphs about a very simple point - Maybe because you're one of those posters I'm talking about? Otherwise I genuinely have no idea.

The thing is, some people on here are visibly deluding themselves - you can see it with the comments after games. I've seen it claimed a home point to Sunderland is good, an away point at Burnley is decent as they aren't easy to beat at home - yet West Ham can beat them FFS.

To which you then reply asking why can't people talk about being the better side vs Burnley - If you can't see how that is not the point being made then cool, I don't care to turn this into any more of a back and forth. You disagree with what is said that's great, we can all move along from this one - don't see it as something worth going back and forth with.....

What triggered a response?? Mate come on, I didn't agree that people were saying it was a good point (I am not the only poster who has said that BTW).

I then mentioned people were commenting on the performance, because yes I was one, but no I am not deluding myself, just to add.

So its not a rant or some triggered response like you are making out, I just don't agree that there were "people" on here praising the point, its not that difficult. Isn't that the purpose of a footballing forum that we debate things and POV we don't agree with?

I was concerned several weeks’ ago, long before we played West Ham. The performances a while ago were already bad and getting worse. I saw a manager who hadn’t developed a single way of progressing the ball or creating chances as well as a team who were getting worse and worse defensively, conceding goals even when having lots of players back. I actually think we’d be better without any manager at all than we are under Frank.
 
Yes it would be that bad - Hell no to relegation and it would be bitter funny that in the first year since Levy left - we got relegated. That would be very sad.
