You do know these events are not related in any shape of form if we got relegated right? I can present many other examples of clubs going to the championship and struggling to get back up and even those that went down.

It’s like saying a Brazilian player really played well for juventus, so we should buy one as it will out here too. No logic whatsoever
 
I think we all need to strap ourselves in for a media pile on suggesting relegation. It’s the perfect clickbait subject. There will be articles and influencers galore all hoping to make their fortunes from a possible Tottenham car crash

I must admit whilst never thinking we are too good to go down, I was never THAT concerned. However I am genuinely beginning to worry, and if we lose to Saudi Sportswashing Machine it will be the first time

I will be seriously worried about it and IMO Frank would have to go regardless of whether we was hoping to wing it for the rest of the season with him. Something has to change, our form is ridiculously bad injuries or no injuries.....

Ive been saying it for weeks. We have sleepwalked into this position and did nothing in the transfer window really.
Even after last seasons form we didnt do near enough recruitment in the summer. Contrast that with Manure who went and bought Cunha and Mbueno. 2 absolute elite players.

I think the more important thing to keep in mind is that it IS actually a possibility.

I think a lot are still looking at it with the “to good to go..” mindset. It’s six points, and West Ham are showing they can pick them up, we aren’t, where’s our next win?

You look down the table and where’s our next points coming from? You would say teams like Wolves, but even then we are one of very few teams who have given them anything this season. Everton… Fulham.. is there really any of these teams people fancy us to beat at the moment?

Transfer window is closed now, this is is, I genuinely think we’re relying on those below us to lose form at this point instead of gaining it. We’re sat here having to actively hope West Ham and Forest lose games to keep us up - I can’t see us getting the points for ourselves at the moment.

The thing is, some people on here are visibly deluding themselves - you can see it with the comments after games. I've seen it claimed a home point to Sunderland is good, an away point at Burnley is decent as they aren't easy to beat at home - yet West Ham can beat them FFS.

We can't beat West Ham, Forest - even Wolves is a bogey side for us. So the simple question is, where the fudge are we getting our wins from under this regime? If we don't beat a pretty poor Saudi Sportswashing Machine side at home, then I will be VERY concerned and for the first time state I want Frank to go - Not because I think everything is his fault, but our form is utterly ridiculous and we are at the point where will be fast approaching the business end of the season and nothing is changing.

I don't give a fudge about how we are doing in Europe, that's how worrying things have got. The league has got to be the focus....

He should’ve been gone already. He is Spurs 3rd worst ever manager in the PL era by PL points per game. It is an absolute disgrace that he has remained at the club. We are sleepwalking our way to relegation.

Yep, I think we need another 6 points over West Ham to be safe, and I cannot currently see where they are coming from. I can see us picking up the odd point here and there but I cannot see the next win. That doesn’t mean we don’t win again this season, but it shows the difference, yesterday I would have bet my house on West Ham beating Burnley, because they have realised the situation they are in. If we were playing Burnley again next week, would I bet on us to win? Absolutely not.

I’ve said many times, I’m not Frank out as such, I just think the fan reaction to him (which is understandable) has made his job basically untenable, if he doesn’t go during the season I’m pretty sure he’s gone at the end of it.

Is there a manager out there who in the interim who could loosen us up and just get us over the line? Perhaps, but I’ve no idea who it is. My main concern is, despite the January window being difficult, I feel like our board have looked at our situation and essentially said “nah it’ll be fine”. I don’t think they have really taken seriously the position we are in.

We’re going to sleep walk our way into it, because too many people just assume it would never happen.
 
I think some of you have forgotten about us having the highest level of debt of any team in England, perhaps even in Europe.

People on here laughed at me when I said I was extremely concerned about our worrying level of debt but if we go down we’ll have to have a huge fire sale of players to avoid going into administration. That fire sale of players will mean that we’ll be very unlikely to come back up and servicing our huge debt is impossible without PL football.

The only silver lining in this could be the owners being forced to sell the club at a discounted price and us getting new owners who run the club better.

Agree with every word of this. Relegation is a possibility. I think Frank would need to go if we lose to Saudi Sportswashing Machine (he should have gone weeks ago) as the fans aren’t behind him never mind the team.

One thing these last two seasons has taught me is to not take our PL status for granted. I always (wrongly) assumed we would be ever presents in the PL forever but no teams other than the likes of United, Liverpool or Arsenal are immune. I was proud of the fact that we’re one of only 6 teams to have played in the PL every season, I also thought Everton would go down before we did.

Yep, people deluding themselves that performances were picking up v the likes of West Ham, Burnley, Sunderland, etc (they weren’t by the way!) and blaming the players for not being good enough, whilst Brentford, striped off their 3 best players from last season under a rooky manager, sit 7th…..

I said we’re sleep walking to relegation under this guy a few games ago in the middle of that easiest set of fixtures that we completely wasted!

Are they or are they talking in isolation? Is that not allowed anymore or does everything have to descend into the same debate? Saying we were the better side versus Burnley because we were is now classed as delusion?

I would argue that some have also let themself become deluded about Spurs as a club and concentrating solely on the wrong elements of where its going wrong. I would say the chickens are coming home to roost on just where we are as a club and where bad decisions off the pitch get you as a board as much as the manager, including the last have been to blame for where we are.

Take Frank and Ange out of things and this club stinks mate, its utterly utterly stinks

The same people who argued that managers over pushed themselves to make Spurs a top 4/6 side are now pretending like they never had that view and now the managers are solely responsible for the demise of the club, there is hypocrisy everywhere (I include myself in that) its par for the supporters course.

I'm not sure what you're talking about here, people were saying it's a good point vs Burnley - it wasn't. I haven't mentioned who was the better team, that's a different argument altogether and whether we was or wasn't doesn't detract from it not being a good result.....

The point is, I didnt see anyone say its a good point, not in the volume of "people deluding themselves". I think you are laying that on TBH

I'm not laying anything on, I saw such comments and from other games aswell where you would expect us to get a better result. For some time people have been clutching at straws about any sort of 'performance' or result we have had to take any sort of positive that we are on the up and things are ok - and I include myself in that, I was deluded in thinking we weren't genuinely in trouble.

But we are, and the tide needs turning quickly....

But equally people are allowed to say a performance is good if its good, otherwise whats the point of reflecting on a game? Do we equally all have to be doom and gloom and lie that we weren't the better side in a game because the overall situation is bad? I dont think we have to
