I think the turning point was when the rest of the Premier League realised he couldn’t kick a ball and targeted him. To go from Toby and Jan, two supremely good footballers as well as good defenders to Sanchez was quite a drop off. It’s a shame he became a lightning rod for the club’s poor recruitment policy and the fans turned on him, he seems like an honest pro.
