With all players fit, what would your starting 11 be?

In addition to injuries it depending on form, fitness, rotation and the opposition is a very good thing. Not knowing quite what our best 11 would be should be one of the goals of squad building (not in the much of a muchness way of course).

To me, right now. Vicario, Porro, Romero, VdV, probably Spence (based more on form). Then it gets tricky. Kulusevski has to be in there. Solanke is obvious. Probably Maddison. After that, who knows.

If Kinsky can put real pressure on Vicario this season remains to be seen.

Now for January deals to make it even harder or easier by signing someone excellent.

Such a tough question, as we clearly have some amazing options and games are won with 16 players now over 100 mins.

I'd start with the 20 match day squad, and the ones to miss out

Venom, Kinsky, Porro, Spence, Udogie, VDV, Romero, Dragusin, Gray, Bergval, Biss, Bents, Sarr, Madds, Kulu, Johnson, Odobert, Son, Richi, Solanke

At the moment, I couldn't find a match day squad place for Austin, Forster, Davies, Reggie, Moore, Yang, Werner, Lankshear.

Mad to think that we have 28 players, but everyone keeps talking about a small squad. It is just not true when you look at the quality of the players missing out on a best match day squad. It's just the injuries that are the problem.

So from that squad, the team

Venom
Porro, Romero, VDV, Udogie
Bents, Biss
Bergval, Madds, Kulu
Solanke

It would be a Poch 4-2-3-1 with the wide full-back, double pivot midfield and the Berg, Madds and Kulu license to interchange constantly.

The integration, development, settling in, Ange beig slow or whatever has happened for Gray, Bergvall and Spence has at this time massively improved our squad at this point. Kinsky then comes in too and looks like a perfect signing after one game.

Still business that needs doing. But our squad is getting there.

It is hard not to get excited about our near future. Direction of travel is just spot on for me.

We will have options
We I’ll have even more come the summer with players returning
Based on what we have today

Vicario

Porro Romero VDV destiny

Gray, sarr, Bergvall

Kulu, Solanke, Maddison

I haven’t seen anyone on our left apart form Moore look competent with the ball

The midfield I’ve picked has energy and structure

Spence would play either side at full back and not worry me

I think Kinky will displace Vicario and we will sell Vicario back to Italy for a healthy profit

Its good that it is becoming such a difficult question. Spence vs Udogie, all 5 CMs are close for those two spots, and no one has pinned down the two WF roles.

Id probably go:

‐‐----------------Vicario
Porro---Romero--vdV----Spence
---------------Gray-----Sarr
Odobert-------Kulu------Richarlison
-------------------Solanke

There simply has to be room for Spence in the team. For me preferably at RB with Porro RW.

Vicario

Spence Romero VDV Udogie

Gray, Kulu, Bergvall

Porro, Solanke, Son

Obviously hoping that Son can get firing again and that Destiny and Mickey can cover his defensive deficiencies.

I'm putting Venom in for now, but I really really liked what I saw from Kinsky last night.

There is more to come. If I was a young tyro looking at making a dash in England I’d be very interested in Ange’s project.

I’ve rarely been so optimistic - I am on the same page as LemonadeMoney with the team for the remainder of this season.

Chiefly, no Son, and no MM yet either.

Let's get the youngsters settled for next season. Sell Maddison. If we get a decent offer for Son, sell as well, or keep as a sub with a dignified ending to a loyal servant.

I'm not sure I would do either (unless we get no European football and need to reduce our squad size).

Son covers nicely the gradual emergence of Moore and Odobert, while Maddison does the same with Bergvall (assuming Kulu is first choice).

I actually wouldn't especially sell/release any of our current squad (bar the obvious - Forster, Whiteman, Austin, Davies, Regulion, Werner, Solomon, Gil). Just keep it as it is, and add in Vuscovic, a back-up LB and first choice RWF.

----------- Vic -------------
Porro -- Romero -- VDV -- Udogie
----- Gray ---- Sarr ------
Deki ---- Bervall ---- Son
----- Solanke ----

What is clear from everyone's shuffling is a few things
- Amazing Son is in almost no one's team, I took the view of this is fully fit/rested
- The gaps in squad are clear, Johnson needs competition/rotation on RW, Son on LW, allows us to play Deki more central
- Wilson may be the person on the LW, but it also highlights why Muani could be a good buy

Vicario
Porro Romero VDV Djed
Bentacour Bissouma
Odobert* Deki Son*
Solanke

Subs; Kinsky*, Gray, Dragusin, Udogie, Sarr, Bergvall, Werner*, Johnson, Richarlison*

Really uncomfortable with positions marked as *. Son is selected because he is the best LW at the club - Odobert still needs to show what he has. Picking 9 subs was almost as difficult as picking the 11 - Davies, Maddison, Moore, Lankshear, Yang, Austin, Forster all miss the bench.
