Jack L. Jones
Last 3 seasons he's started 36 , 32 and 36 in the EPL.
I don't think that's right. According to Who Scored it's:
19/20 - 29(7)
18/19 - 26(6)
17/18 - 20(16)

I took the stats from the EPL website.
They read:
19/20 - 36(7)
18/19 - 32(6)
17/18 - 36(16)
So I'm guessing they include the sub appearances in the first figure. 29 , 26 and 20 make far more sense.
It looks like the first figure is total appearances and the brackets is how many of those were from the bench. That's a sloppy way of presenting the data.
It's more than I was expecting but I guess I am still going by how he was used a few years ago.
His goals and assists record is worse than I thought
2019/20 - 9 goals 7 assists
2018/19 - 7 goals 6 assists
2017/18 - 6 goals 7 assists
He played 47 games this season and over 40 games every season he's been at Chealski so barring a major injury it's unlikely he'll drop off to that few games next season.
He's a good player but it's the position that is our strongest and doesn't really make much sense for us to be after him.
100k a week they're saying...3 year deal.250,000 a week 15m a year 3 years.
He will be good for 15 games next season, 7 or 8 the following and none in the 3rd year of his contract.
Your paying 45m for a good 25 games at most. It is not our model, not while the is a stadium to pay for.
City got a very good torres for 20m.

Do they really need him, they have quite a few attacking players already and the young lad Saka looks very good, he plays in the Willian role
They are being linked with a loan move for Coutinho too. That is a lot of wages tied up in players with no resale value.

It’s good business for themLet them waste more money in older attacking players when they really need a midfield and defense ..
It’s good business for them
Their selling lacazette and his wages cover this signing
His fee will help them buy someone else
Well half would but he is a cost regardlessWon't selling Lacazette go towards paying off Ozil?
Well half would but he is a cost regardless
£30m for lacazette
Flip half that fee in exiting Ozil
Use half on another player
Use his wages to pay for Willian
Yeah I agreeI think it's an odd transfer strategy, especially giving him such a long contract. I can see the sense in them signing some experienced players but not at that end of the pitch.
Arsenal have become very short-termist in their approach. That can work if you have a lot of money or are a player or two away from a title winning team but Arsenal are neither of those things.
The risk is that he blocks chances for Saka or Nelson
They have become a basket case club now and their without any leadership clearly
