Poppy War - I didnt love it, not sure ill go to 2nd book but it is highly rated..
Sword of Kaigen - Exceptional....
The Magician - Was better when i was 15, re-read was ok, not blown away
Red Rising - Epic, fun, brutal

Paperclip was an eye openerAh excellent, I did not know her until now. Which of those would you recommend? She has a way of slicing through flimflam.

The Road by Cormac Murphy is a 'wonderful' companion piece to this.
That book really messed me up. But it's a superb read
Paperclip was an eye opener
Read it many years ago and yes. McCarthy does doom so well.
The one line at the end gave redemption.
But fricking hell. It's a savage book.
