Our 'big' players are not delivering their 'magic moments'.
I have lost patience with a couple of them, and also lost patience with another 'senior'...
...I am an optimist, and I see the scope of this project, where we are in it and where we could be, but I am getting pretty fudging tired of the trials and tribulations our club seems to perpetually put us through. I feel like a taco for even thinking we could go there and get a result today when we consider the hard fact that we have not won a league game there in FIFTEEN YEARS!!!!!!!! It won't change how I am and how I view things overall, but let it be noted I am getting pretty fudged off!!!!!!
Yep, the emotion is there for sure .. I'm trying not to post/get too engaged till I get rational again.

To be honest I was stating the obvious, and the first part of prediction is now evident. Here is another prediction, but again it's stating the obvious. By Easter we will be sitting between 12th and 15th, and out of all three cups, then Ange will get the boot. What annoys me is that it's been obvious for so long that this manager is out of his depth, but Levy has continued to allow him to continue.

I'm glad I'm not the only one on here who can see how bad this manager. We are in a minority mate, as everyone else appears to think he is our saviour. Here are some stats I have copied and pasted from the BBC site
- Tottenham have lost 11 games in the Premier League this season; their joint-most at this stage of a single campaign in the competition (also 11 in 1997-98, 2003-04 and 2008-09).
- The only sides who have lost more in the league this season than Tottenham are the three teams currently in the relegation zone - Wolves, Leicester and Southampton.
- Since beating Aston Villa 4-1 on 3 November, Tottenham have lost eight, drawn four and only won five of their 17 games in all competitions, although three of those victories have been against Emirates Marketing Project (4-0 away), Manchester United (4-3 home) and Liverpool (1-0 home).
- Tottenham have failed to win in their past five games in the Premier League; their last joint-longest winless streak was 6 November to 7 December 2023.
- Spurs have lost 18 points from winning positions in the Premier League this season - only Fulham (19) have lost more.

It's this paragraph that really stands out as a reason for hope and optimism.

I think it's this that makes our current struggles all the more frustrating. We are going through a rebuild but I see so much potential in the team over the next 2-3 seasons. Ange has alluded to it but the question is will he be able to turn things around or will it be someone else benefitting from this potential.

Which comments specifically are you referring to? Ange seems to be less willing to cop the blame himself by saying we weren't at the levels required and it was unacceptable. Everyone can see it, the 18 year olds are putting everything into it and our senior players are letting the side down. To a certain extent what he says is irrelevant, already reneging on criticism of the refs and growing weary of blaming himself - is it his fault that Bissouma is Bissouma?
As a certain follically challenged passionate manager said a while back, the players like to play under no pressure. We can put a controlled and measured performance in against Liverpool in a 1st leg semi that only means something if we can do the same in the 2nd. And we can scrape through against non league opponents but who really thinks we'd get through in a quarter final against top opposition? It was nice to get some positive feeling for a couple of games that will 95% end up as meaningless but last night was a back to reality moment.
Arsenal have almost got double the amount of points as us, despite them being "set piece FC" and having a non functioning front three etc etc The league table doesn't care about the tedious and desperately reaching opinions of bitter rival fans.
Now taking my turn to be tedious in my commentary, the next game is huge. Eventually we'll have to get some points and Everton aren't likely to roll over. Ange has been unfortunate in the timing of the game last night and in terms of injuries, but one would hope we have enough to beat Everton.
Edit - I'm not necessarily in the Ange out camp, I'm just not in the fawning over everything he says whilst we're actually slipping towards a relegation battle. There are signs of potential / promise, but you don't get extra points awarded for playing young players or not accessing the dark arts of football.

Just because it's a Jonathan Liew article which isn't entirely critical of Spurs doesn't mean it's therefore good.
Were we unlucky last night? Arsenal could have been out of sight by the time that Porro had that shot - so you could argue that our real luck was that they couldn't finish the opportunities they created
Does our league position reflect endless bad luck? Perhaps a bit - but we have lost games we should be winning even with our full team out, and we are in a more fortunate position with the numbers in our squad than some of the teams above us. There is a strong argument that we could (and should) be a good bit higher than we are in the league, even with our injuries.
Are Spurs fans showing endless patience? Some are, but I'm not sure I've ever known the fan-base so divided over a manger...and there are plenty who think that the endless patience is now beginning to look foolish.
I do agree, though, that the youngsters in the team are great prospects. Here's hoping that they continue to develop, and that we can hold on to them over the next few years.

They still don’t have a. Striker and that’s their choice so they play a midfielder in attack
For us, it’s fine margin results but they have to be turned into something. I posted it last night, we haven’t had a player step up and do that big extra in any of those games. We had that in the past with Kane, son and dele but they aren’t here anymore

Our ratio of senior players to inexperienced young players is not in our favour and they are being run into the ground. Quite a few of our senior players are under 25.

I wouldn't say it's tedious to recognise that Arsenal's attacking players must be doing something right as they're second in the league and have been there or abouts for a couple of seasons.
On the senior players, I personally would just want them to be reliable and able to guide the young players through the game. It seems the opposite of that with the likes of Gray, Spence and Bergvall seemingly catching the eye whilst our accident and incident prone seniors drag us down. But I have possibly missed your point on senior players.
