Welcome Ange: To Dare is to Didgeridoo

I love Poch and would have him back in a second, however our run to the CL final was lucky with few if any convincing results.
Our run to the EL final has been deserved, we've been the better team in each tie.

The optics of both runs to the finals are skewed, whether it's by the emotion of the manner of the CL wins opposed to the routine EL wins, the higher competition, the personal feelings on the managers or something else I don't know.
We deserve to be in the EL final, I can't really say we deserved to be in the CL final.

Funny how perspective gets wonky sometimes.

Agree. But that change can only come from club and players themselves. I have control over what I do in my life, and indeed it's focus on what you want.

the only way narrative changes from Dr tott....is for them to stop being it!! And again, I will mention Levy in this. Cos if we do win cup, Ange doubles down and so does Levy cos it will prove it can be done on the cheap......

But there’s only 2 players from the squad that couldn’t get over the line under Poch.

Next Wednesday, press conference after we've won the EL

Ange walks in, plonks down the trophy on the desk, gives the press the middle finger and walks out

Reckon he'll do a Zidane and head butt Ali Gold?

He can do what he wants as long as he does walk out (of the club). He can become a stonecutter and buy a hammer if he wants.

I disagree
Imo it’s cup football and it comes down to taking chances, which we did in the CL
We do also qualify though with the lowest points in ten group stage ever at that point (I was at Barca away waiting on the PSV result)
Our league form that second half of the year was shocking. That doesn’t seem to get mentioned much

Except it hasn't been done on the cheap, we're the 4th biggest spenders over the last 5 years.

We have invested a lot, a big part of that being in youth. If we keep hold of our players, in two seasons time Udogie/VDV/Porro (in his peak)/Kulu/Bergvall/Gray/Odobert/Tel/Moore if they have continued their development along with a couple of quality experienced heads we will have a really good side....

You need a bit of luck when you are in a tournament where you are not favourites/are outsiders - that's a strange stick to beat that run with.

Not sure that would carry much meaning given we've reached the final by being extremely pragmatic, something he has spent his entire time here saying he'd never do. We're still trying his way in the league and we're awful.
