Vincent Janssen

Janssen needs to lose 3 stone, gain 10mph speed, gain acceleration, start scoring like a phenomenon in training, and then Poch MIGHT put him on the bench. If everyone else is injured.

It's not black or white as you seem to always cast it. Crossing is a useful weapon to have in the armoury. To dismiss it altogether is simply nonsense.
 
Perhaps Poch likes to test his managerial skills to the limit.

With Sterling going out on loan, including Janssen is the only sensible thing to do. Think he'll get a massive ovation if he comes on to play.

Whether its him not good enough for us to change our game to accommodate him, or just us not crossing to him, my point remains - Janssen and Llorente are equally ill-suited to us (though arguably Janssen might be better given he's a better finisher)

I don't think that Janssen's game is unsuited to us, it's just his performances haven't been good enough.

each to his own - to me his strength is hold up play, which is more use to a lower half team, and his weakness is his movement, which is what the likes of Kane/Son/Dele bring us

Hold up play is useful when you have players like Son, Dele and Eriksen looking to overlap. Llorente would be a lot more useful if he could bring others into play. I think Janssen's movement suffered as his confidence went. My biggest criticism of his signing is buying a player off the back of one good season.

Disagree, I’ve seen him feature for Holland a good few times over the past couple of years and he was good in an improved and flutent Holland team. He looked far more at home in our system than Llorente ever has, but unfortunately never had his scoring boots on....

But if a striker had 2 or 3 good seasons they're £70m.
