Vincent Janssen

But that's the point, we are improving.
Not every player is going to be a success at every club.
Spend big, tried that, hasn't really worked.
Buy potential, tried that, when it works we can't hold on to them.
Rear our own, mixed bag to say the least.
There is no secrect formula, but ours is as good as anyones.

Improving. Not so sure. I would say we are about pa this season, that's being generous and allowing for grounds etc.
CL form has been good but I'm not sure the group was has good as everybody first thought and the results and respective league positions for of both heavyweights has illustrated that.
I've always had us at 5th/6th (remember I'm the Rees-Mogg of the pessimism party) since the beginning of the season and I'm very pleased with how the team had done at Wembley thus far. But I feel we could and should have built on a 2nd spot finish. Manchester has flexed its financial muscle and we bought Llorente to understudy Harry and the rest as the say is history. Llorente's pedigree is good but sadly he is showing his age, not his fault. The continued recent scouting mistakes are probable compounding why we are struggling in various situations. Plan B does not really exist or am I missing something?

Star striker Vincent Janssen could be on his way back to Tottenham in January as Turkish Super Lig giants Fenerbahce are considering terminating his loan deal.

The Netherlands international has struggled with injuries since his arrival in Istanbul and could be ruled out for a further three months with a toe injury.

According to the daily Turkish newspaper Fanatik, Fenerbahce are looking into the possibility of sending Janssen back if doctors believe the 23-year-old is unlikely to feature again this season.

Per the source, Tottenham have been made aware of the situation.

I would be surprised if they had a clause that let them terminate the loan due to an injury?

He has been. As I recall, Vinny at least appeared to have some sort of impact on the games when he came on - whether it was drawing fouls that lead to chances/goals or holding the ball up well. Fernando has been a damp, gorgeous, squib.

Llorente did start like that when he came on - remember thinking this is what we need against West Ham.

Janssen was a miscontrolling sitting missing builder most of last season

The answer is to sell them both and buy bale!!!

Janssen and Llorente have both been sh1t.

The fact is, most of our strikers have been shyte during the PL era. Remember the likes of Rebrov, Postiga, Rasiak, Adebayor and Soldado. Even the likes of Crouch, Pavly, Defoe and Kane have scored some important goals but they were never clinical goal scorers.
