You said that being a footballer or being involved in football makes abuse of women more likely. No facts. Just pre judgement. Another word for pre-judgment - prejudice.

I don't want to label any occupation with abusing women but I believe some people with power and money feel they can do what they like as they will not face any consequences.

Working in and around the city and seeing 40-60 year old men ply young girls with champagne, cocaine with a hand up their skirt......and it seemingly being ignored by all..........I am not saying you are more likely to, but its certainly an accepted norm in that circle, or appears to be

Probably more nuanced than that. Women are also attracted to wealth and people they think can provide. Add in the fame and adulation and people who wouldn’t get a second glance from an attractive women are suddenly a catch. No doubt there are those players who abuse this status. These young guys are not well educated or experienced. So I would stay away from sweeping generalisations and take each instance on a case by case basis. It’s the only way isn’t it?

At some point you need to tackle the culture, not the individual cases.

There is undeniably a culture of disrespect and acceptance of violence against women.

I'm almost 80 and all my life I've seen evidence everyday of my life that women are second class citizens and don't get the respect or chances that men get, I'm probably guilty of that attitude myself. We live in a more enlightened age now but there's a long way to go.

Things are far far better now than they were 50, 40, 30 even 20 and 10 years ago. Not that you’d think so reading Tommys posts. Remember lads mags and lad culture? It wasn’t all that long ago. Now people are far more inclusive and respectful.

Improvements yes......where it should be? Absolutely not.

Domestic violence, including homicide stats are nowhere near where they need to be. Neither are sexual asualt, stalking or harassment.

Men have an absolute cakewalk in comparison

You were talking about tackling the culture. Your words. Suggesting there was some kind of systematic issue in football. I simply asked you to substantiate your claim. And you lost it.

There may well be. Idk. But I’d respond to evidence not some moral panic with no substance.
