That’s proper ITK move this to the transfer forum?Gesundheit
Dad?Son?
I seem to remember him being discussed on here before the transfer. There were a couple of the typical youtube videos knocking about.Son?
Same problem as beforeFailed? How?
Same problem as before
No one can offer him anywhere want what he is getting here
Yet people think the club should pay for him to leave...
Why shouldn't we pay for him to leave? It would probably work out better for the club financially. The alternative is paying him £60k a week to turn up at training for another 18 months and then for him to walk away for nothing then.Same problem as before

Because he is our player, our asset and potentially one that Jose may use (however unlikely)Why shouldn't we pay for him to leave? It would probably work out better for the club financially. We were stupid not to pay for him to leave back in the Summer. Giving him even as much as £6 million to go back then would actually have left THFC £13 million better off than we will be now stuck with him.
Wrong. Financially, we would be better off with someone else paying some of his wages. He ain't gonna play for us.Because he is our player, our asset and potentially one that Jose may use (however unlikely)
Only in the bizarre world of football fandom does the idea of paying for someone to play for and therefore deliver for someone else work

When does the Celtic transfer window close?
A club were willing to pay a transfer fee of £13 million for him last summer. However that club have a far lower wage ceiling than us and could not afford pay him anywhere near the wages we pay him. Even us paying up his entire contract at £6 million would've left us £7 million up from the transfer fee and actually £13 million overall when you consider that we'll pay him that £6 million quid in wages anyway between last summer and next summer when he walks on a free. That deal would've ensured that the player was quids in and also had a bit more security in a longer contract at the new club. Not doing that deal will cost us money. It's clear the player isn't and wasn't in the manager's plans.Because he is our player, our asset and potentially one that Jose may use (however unlikely)

Today
And no because we may need him
If a club wants him and there getting him at a discount rate they should pay the rate
We’re not a charity

It probably wouldn't even have taken the whole £6 million for him to agree to the move either. So it may be even more than £13 million that we have effectively wasted for no reason.
