Victimpool FC - Klopp leaving, grown men crying

How convenient! It’s ok EDL Dave, you don’t need to triple-down. You’ve already made a mug out of yourself on this, we all know the truth.
Your opinion of the truth is of no consequence.

If you refuse to be educated, there's little I can do.

Your attempts at gaslighting are so, so poor. It was very clear you were lying, you got called out and weaseled off like you always do. But by all means bring up a lot of nothing and embarrass yourself even more.

and yet there are still idiots suggesting Liverpool 'bottled' the title on the final day. To go a whole season playing in every fixture possible and only losing 4 times is a staggering achievement akin to Arsenal's 'Invincible' season (lost 6 games in all comps).

In the same way 'bottlers' becomes perpetuated gonads so does all the macaronic 'always the victims' nonsense. I've been to most away grounds in 30 years of following Spurs and never come across more knowledgeable and informed people as the stewards at Anfield.

Well said. And agreed.

They were obviously out there on the frontlines beating back those terrible scousers right @scaramanga?

And just in case you -or any other similarly prejudiced folk wish to go on about how Liverpool fans are 'victims again' it's because
A) they were and
B) so many thick tossers couldn't wait to trot out the 'party line' flimflam about them within minutes...including those clams at UEFA who saw a cheap shot at absolving themselves of blame.

Have to agree that is a mental stat.
I think it points clearly to the fact that what they tried to achieve was impossible.
We experienced something similar in '81/82, when we blazed it on four fronts with a smaller squad yet dynamic strikers and a brilliant midfield for most of the season, before slowly falling away at the last of most. LCF we lost in ET (I suspect you also remember mate) 3-1, then we were (IMO) cheated out of the CWC SF 2-1 on aggregate before holding on grimly in that FA Cup replay to QPR (who battered us second half of the replay) whilst the league (IMO anyway) went right after the Easter win over Scum @ scum bury with a 2-2 home draw midweek against Sunderland during an insanely stupid and inhumane fixture pile-up.

I think Liverpool could well find this season a lot tougher than they might expect. The mental -as well as physical- toll in what is already a compressed year will be very tough indeed IMO...

86-87 too
But at the end of the day they won the little prizes by winning on penalties
It won’t be a memorable season by their standards despite their own fans talk
They were claiming it was the greatest pool side ever a few months back

Good point.

I think what they tried was incredible TBH, and I understand the current revisionism as it must've been (internally) a crushing disappointment all round. If they are really satisfied with that, then tis good news for us all!

86-87 was m6 first season of gouging regular
We were the best side in the country but blew everything due to the volume of games

Funny, it was one of the few seasons I was not 100% engaged due to life changes. 81/82 I went all over, up to that 86/87 season in fact, then life changes, then total re-engagement a season later!
