I think it's potentially an excellant appointment for them, of course there's risks, but his cv is very good and he's a character, liverpool have shown great character themselves the last few years, so it's a good fit.

Most deluded fans in football. They will expect him to perform miracles from the off. I give him the end of next season before his job is on the line.
My reasons for querying whether it will work are based on the state of the club and not Klopp's abilities as a coach.
Reports this morning suggested that the club think Rodgers' under performed with the players he had at his disposal and that there are no immediate plans to change the squad significantly. I doubt whether Klopp can achieve much with those players.
Two words mate, felix magath. Now his eyewear had panache. Must be something about the Germans.I know nothing about Klopp (or very little). Nothing about his footballing philosophy. Or his family. What food he likes to eat. Or television programmes he likes to watch. I don't know if he has pet dog, or horse. Does he prefer the press or the wringer, the false nine, the regista?
But I do know he will be a huge success at Liverpool.
Why?
Because he has great taste in glasses. Only a footballing genius could carry off glasses like those with such panache. Only a man with style from head to toe. Oozing from every pore. [Poch may need to up his game. Wenger certainly. Even the Not-So-Special-One.] I say welcome to the Premier, the man with excellent spectacles.
(Just don't beat us in the next game).

He will, it's inevitable.GHod, I hope he doesn't go full depart
He will, it's inevitable.
"I want to see it, feel it, smell it. When I came here with Dortmund a year ago I was excited because of the history. This is the most special place. The most historical place."
Presumably pretty soon someone'll be knocking over his new house though so that might take the shine off it a bit.
I think FSG are smarter than that, it's the fan influence that causes trouble there, the fact they went from hero worship to pitchforks in a year speaks volumes when you consider that Rodgers influence hadn't changed, they'd just lost an exceptional player in the form of his life, the man is a macaron but he certainly didn't "underachie" there and the sacking was harsh.
If they were smarter they would have hired Koeman or even Frank de Boer.
I'm not anti Klopp, I personally think they need to sort out player recruitment and take the heat out of Liverpool fans expectation, they are not a top four club ATM. Mainly due wasting money they don't have when compared to the current Sky Four.
Klopp is a superstar and will just heighten expectation, not what Liverpool need.
