Victimpool FC - Klopp leaving, grown men crying

He has spent like £210m and had not many successes in that figure

I was chatting with someone who is in the football world and is young and progressive. What I found funny was he said that when it comes down to it, it is all about the players and you just need as good players as you can get. It might sound basic but this guy is in football, used to work at Tottenham with the first team.

Maybe it is more about the players and less about sports psychologists or tactics. I am sure tactics play a part but the main thing is to get as many top class players as possible.

Think now scouting is the most important thing.

Rodgers: "I thought we did enough to win the game"

lol

they did enough to score a few granted but that defence couldn't stop a bus

His achievement was similar to AVB's record Premier League points total for us, imo -- largely down to the unbelievable form of a world class player.

However, they might look where we are after sacking AVB and decide that they might as well stick with Rodgers afterall...

I disagree with that mate. Both managers had a special player but that's where the similarities end imo. AVB finished 5th because Bale almost single handedly won him the points. Offensively without Bale we were toothless although we were ok defensively. Rodgers however, finished second with a brilliant attacking unit spearheaded by Suarez. That both Spurs and Liverpool struggled in the season after losing their "special" player was for different reasons. Spurs because we didn't have an effective attacking system without Bale. Liverpool because of Suarez going at the same time as Sturridge being injured do not have a spearhead for their attacks, this combined with playing the European games and the crazy decision to bring Balotelli to the club.

personally I think he's a macaron

i wouldnt go as far as to call him a macaron, but i agree with your overall sentiments. if i were liverpool i would sack him, simply because i dont think hes a very good manager judging from what comes out of his mouth.
when you look at guys like mourinho, pellegrini and wenger, they all sound like intelligent men, and someone that players would get behind. I dont see how any sane player could think rodgers is any good from watching "Being Liverpool". and on a side note, this is why im really pleased with the pochettino appointment. he seems to be a thoughful and intelligent manager. long term, i think he could be the guy to take us further

Agreed.

Switch the keepers today and I think they win it.

Certainly a point.

For Liverpool a big worry as after the Sturridge and Coutinho deals they've been struggling immensely to find the right players. Football weekly claimed 2 out of 23 signings had been successful or something like that.

first goal - why did the keeper dive the opposite direction ?

sometimes you have the read the strike, if you wait you won't get to a well placed shot anyway, your only choice is to gamble on side and get your body as big as possible

I took the **** yesterday pre game but I don't think Jones did a lot wrong, Rooney on the run unchallenged from that spot is gonna score every single time, even if you have 2 keepers, the coverage broke down and the goal was a certainty when sterling didn't track Rooney and Valencia got clear

On one hand I laugh because they laughed at us when we had Bale and were in Europe (Suarez - ECL) on the other I really should take a year off from footie forums...

Rogers actually did really well with them following a bad start and I don't think he's bad now because of another poor start (even if his eyeliner is running...).

Wenger is getting a pasting from some fans - I'd tell them to f*ck right off and appreciate how footie is right now.

LVG was clueless for a while and still counting...

It's all *******s really - and I've not even gone into Poch territory...

Footie fans (online?) really are something.

Much as I hate to say it because I think he is a bellend, his team played some outstanding football last season and were more successful than us even in our pomp under Harry. Swansea were also good. Therefore I do think he is an excellent coach. It's just that I want to keep punching his smug face. So glad he never became our manager and agree with you re poch.
