UK travel to the US is down 14+%
UK events industry are avoiding it because of Trump led impacts.....cost of doing business rise, immigration impact on international delegates. Using the example of yesterday when my client confirmed BC citing his board decision due to costs and the impact of Trump, I suppose he is lying and it wasn't that despite people having the choice to change their minds over any reason they want??
The escalating cost of events due to tariffs is killing international events into the destination, Vegas is the largest conventions city in the US, its 100% impacting tourism into the destination
Those are just facts.
I'm talking about international impacted travel into Vegas and the US, its massively down, that cant be disputed.
I dont care about the domestic performance, although surely Trump is responsible for domestic pressures and people being priced out?
I’m not disputing that you are right specific to the UK and conventions. Domestic convention business is down as well but that won’t have been as heavily impacted by the tarrifs.
But the UK would account for a 0.135% descrease.
