Underrated

It's underrated in the sense that it was never on mainstream tv at a suitable time - like 1/2am if I remember. Even now Sky Atlantic show it only after 11.

But in terms of awareness I think anyone that reads a bit of the papers / entertainment sites etc will know about it. The cast have also gone on to other big name projects like Luther and Boardwalk Empire etc as well.

The Wire is an interesting one. It was always hyped by critics and those who look in to such things but it never won any awards. Ask a random person on the street and they'll likely have never heard of it.

Compare that to The Sopranos, which is frequently in the argument with The Wire for greatest television show ever, and everyone has heard of it even if they've never seen an episode.

Perhaps not underrated, simply unknown.
 
How could I forget Embrace - new album coming soon. New single is pretty great and sounds fresh

Interesting point. Did you know that you can go into your deleted programmes (this is on sky+ btw - I presumed that's what you were talking about) and retrieve them?

My 10yr old daughter showed me this when I was raging about accidentally deleting something. :lol: its right there on the tabs but I'd never noticed!

Films: Heat, I know it got good reviews but it's one of the greatest action films ever made and I still don't think it's as popular mainstream wise as it should be.

Indeed. It rarely gets mentioned in the same breath as Godfather, Goodfellas, and maybe it is not in that esteemed company, but it certainly ranks a lot higher for me than Scarface or Casino.

Another one - Donnie Brasco.
