Transfer Window Thread

Thanks for clearing it up for me, mate. So, if I'm reading you right, ENIC owns about 86%, Lord Ashcroft owns between 6 and 7%, and the remainder are owned by individual shareholders like yourself and the ones you described, correct?

It's interesting that you mention that anecdote about people buying shares to put the certificates up. Perhaps it shows a desire for ownership amongst ordinary fans, even if only symbolic.

security tokens is generally considered to be the next big thing in investments, allowing people more direct access to companies then shares offer. I am mad on the whole crypto thing. Keep buying Ripple and Stellar and have been boring people at dinner parties why it is the future. Got up at the table banging my fists Christmas day telling my brother it was the fcuking future. He simply told me my meds were not doing what they should, tw*t.

Ten years or so he had holdings in both Tottenham and Watford. I'd imagine he's holding onto his Spurs Shares in the hope of a substantial profit. The value of his shares if the Club was sold for around £2 billion, which ENIC reputedly want, would mean his shares would have increased in value about ten-fold. He was said to be a Spurs fan. Someone purporting to be his nephew Dan Ashcroft posted on a Spurs forum years ago purporting to be ITK because of his "uncle's" connections.

Was he going on about Dutch wine.

The idiots are winning if you believe him.

So, custard pie and chips. All condiments, in food or separate, replaced with custard. Custard milkshakes (no beers, sorry) or just pure 400% custard and the customary rhubarb/apple crumble and custard.
Just don’t drink the hair tonic DFL recommends in the hair loss thread!

TUCHEL: PSG WILL BUY IN JANUARY

PSG boss Thomas Tuchel says the Ligue 1 champions' midfield issues are "very, very serious".

And Tuchel has also confirmed the Parisians will trying and bring in new players in January.

RABIOT HIKES UP PRESSURE ON PSG

Contract rebel Adrien Rabiot is hoping to force Paris Saint-Germain to allow him to train with the first-team squad again amid ongoing uncertainty about his future at the French club.

The 23-year-old France international midfielder has not played for PSG since early December and has been ordered to train with the reserves after failing to agree a new contract.

His existing deal expires at the end of the season and Rabiot has been strongly linked with moves to Barcelona and Bayern Munich in the last month, either for free in the summer, or even before the January transfer window closes.

The French league (LFP) confirmed on Monday Rabiot has taken the matter to their legal committee, claiming PSG's decision to banish him goes against the "professional footballer's charter".

That charter only allows for players to be ordered to train apart "on a temporary basis" and for "exclusively sporting reasons".

His enforced absence comes at a time when PSG are short of options in midfield and have just lost Italy midfielder Marco Verratti to an ankle injury.

Dodgy Google translate says De jong wants to go Barca and not PSG

SUAREZ LEFT OUT

Barcelona have announced midfielder Denis Suarez has been left out of their squad for tonight’s Copa Del Ray match against Sevilla.

Arsenal want to sign the 25-year-old on loan.

Tottenham have given the green light for fringe winger Georges-Kevin N’Koudou to leave the club on loan this month as Besiktas hold talks over a potential loan-to-buy deal for the forward, according to Fanatik.

I'll make a bet - in aggregate, the loons on here can make decisions as good or better than your average football chairman. Maybe even Levy. ;) Almost every German club manages it, after all, from Dortmhnd to Bayern to FC Emmen.

Or just assign roles to the folks on here - that works too. :p

@Bedfordspurs - stadium build,
@scaramanga - executive packages,
@Danishfurniturelover - culinary operations,

and so on. :D

Bags ...me on set pieces! Corners are too limiting. Some clubs even bring in long throw experts, I believe.

Ligue 1 side Bordeaux are the surprise new frontrunners to sign Sunderland forward Josh Maja, according to Sky Bet.

Maja is out of contract this summer and despite the Black Cats offering him seven times his current salary it is believed the 20-year-old is holding out for double that amount.

His 16-goal haul in League One has helped Sunderland establish themselves as a genuine promotion candidate but given his potential and his contract status he has attracted lots of potential suitors.

A number of Premier League and Championship clubs are keeping tabs on Maja, as well as Scottish giants Celtic and Rangers, and German clubs Stuttgart, Cologne and Wolfsburg.

But surprisingly, it is French side Bordeaux who are now a huge betting favourite to sign Maja this month, with Sky Bet offering odds of just 1/6 for the transfer to happen.

Interest is intensifying but it is interesting to see the odds on a move to Bordeaux shorten so much, with the French side not previously mentioned as a possible destination for League One's second top scorer.

Sunderland remain hopeful he will stay but two reports in the last 24 hours have suggested that Premier League sides Cardiff and West Ham are ready to make a move for the youngster.

The Sun reported earlier this week that Cardiff were readying a £2million bid for Maja, although the Black Cats are holding out for £4million.

Meanwhile, reports yesterday linked West Ham with a move for Maja, with the Hammers willing to loan the forward back to Sunderland for 18 months.

It is believed Maja would like to spend the rest of the season at the Stadium of Light, even if it means he joins another club this month before returning to Wearside on loan.

'BARCA WIN DE JONG RACE'

Barcelona have won the race for Frenkie De Jong, according to Mundo Deportivo.

The 21-year-old's agent reportedly sent Paris Saint-Germain and Emirates Marketing Project, the two other interested parties, a message saying "Thanks for your interest, but Frenkie goes to Barca."

EVERTON: GUEYE NOT FOR SALE

Sky Sources understand Everton are insisting midfielder Idrissa Gueye is not for sale despite strong interest from Paris St Germain.

The French League leaders were reported to have made a bid for the 29 year-old yesterday, but we believe Everton have not received any offers for Gueye and would not welcome any.

LEEDS' CLARKE INTERESTING PL CLUBS

Tottenham and Southampton are among multiple Premier League clubs monitoring exciting Leeds winger Jack Clarke, Sky Sports News understands.

Clarke, who is only 18, has been one of the standout young performers in the Sky Bet Championship this season, impressing a host of scouts with the maturity of his performances.

Sky Sports News has been told, despite the level of interest in Clarke, Leeds have received no firm offers for him and are adamant he is not for sale.

Honestly cant say Ive seen anything of him, is he actually that good?

@Legohamster , see what I mean (from the Alli thread)

POCH OPEN TO MAKING TRANSFERS

Mauricio Pochettino has reiterated Tottenham's transfer policy has not changed due to Harry Kane and Dele Alli's injuries but says the club are "trying".

He said: "It is so clear, I am so open to improve the squad and add a player if Harry Kane and Dele Alli are fit or not fit. I was open in the summer and I am open now.

"The difficult thing is to find quality that will add to the squad. We are not going to change strategy, we are working, we will see what happens at the end."

MAJA CLOSE TO BORDEAUX MOVE

Josh Maja is on the verge of joining Ligue 1 side Bordeaux for a deal that will rise to £3.5m, according to Sky sources.

Maja turned down the offer of a new contract at Stadium of Light two weeks ago, and Sunderland are resigned to losing their striker who has scored 16 goals this season.

The two clubs are haggling over the fine details of the deal, but personal terms will not be an issue.
