Proof if needed that any 12 year old can set up an officialish looking twitter account, then kitten any old brick for likes retweets and followers, yet not even concern oneself with the basic premise of common sense and reality, let alone an understanding of how football transfers work....

Lol. Why don’t Madrid just buy Eriksen from us, we buy Lo Celso from Betis and Betis buy Diaz from Madrid. Far simpler.

I see Sessegnon as a forward but also one for the future, hence haven’t guessed him into these line ups....

That would be only 4 home grown players, and we'd be fudged. Surely we have to bring in a couple of HG players?

It's been pointed out many times that @HotspurRelated solely retweets existing stories. That is why the source is always in square brackets at the end of each tweet. I advise you to read the source, prior to bothering with the tweet.

It’s not that you have to have x amount of HG (8 in fact).

You just only have 17 slots open to non-HG. I believe Davies is HG for the Premier league.

Assuming we sell who we think were going to....but allowing for keeping the ‘contract rebels’

Thx! Just checked the UEFA regulations, and it states that on top of a maximum 25 players for List A, clubs have to designate a minimum 8 players that were trained by clubs from the same national league, with 4 of them from the club own youth system.[1] The rule in turn capped a maximum of 17 foreigners for the club in UEFA competitions.

Davies does not count in UEFA's home grown criteria, so we're one short there. Sessegnion in would sort that then.

So looking at the above (assuming we don’t register Jansen) then we would still have 2 foreign spots up for grabs even after signing Lo Celso. That’s fine then.

Why does Davies only qualify as HG for the EPL and not UEFA games?
