Yes quite right with Sutton - I think he was a centre forward who could also fill in at the back though rather than the other way around.
david howells started with us as a striker but played as a centre half but more commonly as a central midfield.
dare i also mention that rSol started as a centre forward (scored on debut v Chelsea) and played as full back on both sides for a couple of seasons; did a decent job in defensive midfield before becoming a central defender.

Manchester United are set to battle Tottenham for Real Betis midfielder Giovani Lo Celso.
Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino is keen on striking a deal for the Argentine international, who is currently away at Copa America, as he overhauls his squad this summer.
An initial enquiry from the Premier League outfit was rejected by Betis, who have an £89m release clause in Lo Celso's contract.
But reports in Spain suggest the La Liga side would settle for around £70m and that has alerted Manchester United .
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer wants to bring in midfield options this summer and that search will intensify if Paul Pogba gets his wish and leaves the club.
United are keen to bring in Sean Longstaff from Saudi Sportswashing Machine but the youngster is likely to act as a replacement for Ander Herrera.
Sporting Lisbon's Bruno Fernandes is another target but Lo Celso is also on Solskjaer's radar.
MARCA reports Lo Celso is among a list of targets for the United boss and they will look to challenge Tottenham for his signature.
Lo Celso joined Betis on a permanent deal a year ago but is wanted by Spurs as a replacement for Christian Eriksen.
Pochettino is also hoping to finalise the signing of Tanguy Ndombele from Lyon this week.
The French midfielder is expected to have a medical in London on Tuesday before finalising a club-record deal.
Spurs are likely to pay around £56m up front for Ndombele, with that fee rising to close to £65m including add-ons.
It means Spurs will have to break their transfer record twice this summer if they are to land both midfield targets.

Frankly, we don’t see enough puns when it comes to Wolves and transfers, so L’Equipeget a bonus point today.
The French newspaper claims Nuno Espirito Santo’s club have their ‘fangs’ out, ready to pounce and sign, or perhaps maul to death, Benoît Badiashile.
Someone is clearly pushing interest in the 18 year old AS Monaco defender. The situation around him has been relatively quiet, and then yesterday France Football reported Tottenham are ‘taking an interest’ in the player.
L’Equipe don’t just mention Wolves, Manchester United are also included in the article.
It’s claimed Monaco have ‘indirectly learned’ the Red Devils ‘could also position themselves’ on the player, and their neighbours City were interested before he signed a pro contract with the French principality club.
Manchester United were previously linked in January, with it being claimed they’d made an offer the summer before.
Back to Wolves.
Monaco chief Oleg Petrov is said to have recently found out Wolves were ‘willing to make an offer’. Jorge Mendes is, of course, said to be involved, and the interest is ‘not a bluff’.
Wolves are thought to believe they have a 50/50 chance of making the signing, which L’Equipe estimate would be a deal around €40m.
It’s worth noting that on Monday, France Football, when pushing Tottenham interest, said the player’s intention is to remain where he is. He has a contract until June 2021, so perhaps this is all for negotiating purposes.
Whether it is or isn’t should quickly become clear.

The Hull City winger is a wanted man after an impressive season in the Championship, as he plundered 22 goals for the Tigers.
Arsenal's local rivals Tottenham had been keeping a close eye on Bowen's progress.
However, reports claim that Arsenal have been watching Bowen since January and are now ready to swoop.
A £12million summer move has been mooted.
Arsenal are looking for cut-price signings this summer as they look to bolster Unai Emery's ranks on a budget.
The Sun claim that Arsenal see Bowen as a value alternative to Wilfried Zaha, who hold a price tag well out of the Gunners' price range.
Reports had claimed that Emirates chiefs offered £40million for Crystal Palace star Zaha, although they would have been looking to pay the fee in installments.
With Palace set to hold firm, it is expected that Arsenal could turn their attentions elsewhere, with Bowen among the players they are considering.
Hull City are said to value their star man at £15million - but could be willing to accept a slightly smaller amount.
It is reported that Arsenal were looking at Bowen in January but decided against making a move at that time.
However, his performances in the second half of the season have forced a change in thinking in the recruitment stakes.
