Transfer Thread

If we can sell Richi and use that money to get Toney in maybe chuck Sessegnon into the deal.

We need a quality centre half and then also get loans for Phillips and Dorrington. I would consider in the summer bringing back Cirkin as cover.

Midfield we don't need to much, bring through some of the youngsters.

Really can’t see any teams wanting to take the gamble on Sessegnon until he’s back playing at least semi regularly for us. His injury problems and lack of consistency would just be a problem we’d be passing on. Like you, I was excited when we signed Sessegnon and really expected big things, things that have never materialised.

If we get loans for Phillips and Dorrington then we need to sign two centre backs.

I think we need a truly creative backup to Maddison. No one gives us that right now.

We can bring devine back in jan and use him.

Ange confirms planning is already happening for Jan. Sounds positive

I hope the injuries don't lead us to panic buy older players that won't be here long term and end up being difficult to shift. Fingers crossed we have genuine young talents identified that we have already been following since the summer

I actually think a couple of experienced heads would be perfect. We have a very very young squad, but when all fit I think we have a first XI that's very difficult to improve upon.
So a couple of experienced players that can bring something to both the pitch and the dressing room, whilst understanding the need for rotation, would be perfect

A experienced CB, and an experienced CM and CF on loan would be ideal. Must be a few knocking around that aren't getting what they need at club level right now - although clubs managed squads far better than previously, so no one springs to mind.

I saw an article today that was linking Frimpong from Leverkusen with a big summer move and it got me thinking, Even if they have a great season (like Napoli last year) then their squad looks like it's going to get ripped apart in the summer. Tapsoba, Frimpong, Hincapie, striker Boniface, Florian Wirtz etc.
I suppose Bayern will be in some players ears there trying to get them to run down their contracts lol

They can't all be top drawer, xhaka is their playmaker ffs. Sounds like the manager (and his system) is greater than the sum of parts.

I think we should be all over Marcos Leonardo in January. Santos have just been relegated, so he definitely needs to leave this window.

Similar profile to Veliz, but a goalscorer more than a target man (so potentially a nice partnership in future)

Much as I dislike this thread I check it once a week to see the ridiculous fairytales, I'm very surprised 2 weeks before window and it's only on page 4, even more amazed there aren't at least 20 blokes I've never heard off definitely going to sign, I suspect the frenzy will increase once the Christmas toys are broken.

Tottenham are lining up a move for Benfica's Brazilian defender Morato, 22, after he impressed scouts watching him against RB Salzburg in the Champions League in midweek -bbc gosip

I think its probably just realism. That we'll likely get Lloyd Kelly and Lloris will leave, and that will be it. So not really worth imagining much else

With a few months left on his contract I don't see it.

Our best transfer business would be to buy a share in a belgium club to ship out 3 or 4 youth players when they are 17/18 for a year so they are then ready for a championship loan. Scarlett needs that to be honest, Dorrington as well.
