Judging by Mourinho's past , he wants a bully boy type of No 9. See Drogba, Costa, Lukaku etc. Hence the Giroud link in January. We need a Llorente type - only better!
I would love to, but Jimenez is a top class striker, and would be €50m+ if he's got anything more than 1 year left on his contract.I think it might be Jimenez still. There were links way back and that new Wolves wonderkid will be expecting to start. Besides all the other options seem to be disappearing pretty quick

There are some straws your clutching thereRuns out in 2023 apparently.
But factor in Jorge Mendes, COVID hit to club finances... maybe he goes for less than they would have done a year ago, similar to Doherty perhaps.
He would do a job and would be hated by the teams we play for sureWe need a bastard.
I think Deeney would be an emergency option - but if we can't get our main targets he would be effective.
He may well need a blue badge bay allocation at the training ground! We need a bastard.

Not a fan of the principles of rehabilitation and punishment for a crime being balanced and appropriate?I don't want any convicted felons at my club, thank you very much... Lloris doesn't count.

Also, Lloris counts.

Was this meant for the Joe Hart thread? He's a spent force, if we sign him it's an embarrassment

their not selling him for anything less than a very big fee which TBF is reasonable considering their position and his performances
guy is class and wouldn’t leave to go anywhere that isn’t a real step up
This, to the point made by earlier posters
- We need a focus point for our attacks, even if that striker isn't prolific, it allows the many AMs we have to still play their natural game and not fudge up the balance of the side.
- I also think Jose perfers the outright striker in side vs. Poch (or even Pep) who will go with AMs in that role on occasion.
Who the fudge does he think he is with those boots...he better be good to get away with them!I guess Messi isn't coming now. They're holding on to him it seems...
