Transfer speculation

Pochettino did sign that fella at Southampton from Espanol who was a bit of a fiery character too, forget his name - Argentinian forward?

Dani Osvaldo.
Think Poch later admitted that was a mistake though.
Retired from football to become a musician apparently.

So, lets say - complete guess.

£37m on Sanchez.
£24m on Aurier
£30m on Barkley

Less Walker's sale of £50m
Plus 4.5M for Siggurddson sell on fee

Circa £35 to £45m total spend this summer, roughly. Not sure if we will get all of those or any of those but we will buy some as I think people may forget about the Walker sale and that our net spend won't be that much really.

The logic is that Walker main strength will fade with age and injurys ( which according to some reports have already started to effect him) Siggy on the other hand does not relie on his pace and his other strengths should mean he remains the good player he is ( at least longer then a player who's main strength is pace.

As for Siggy Stop! Hammer time, i believe he is a better player then some do and i think he will do well at Everton.

I can see both sides of this. Definitely agree that what Siggy brings is a touch of true class, quality and intelligence....as you say, attributes that will keep a footballer going far longer than physical gifts - Gudjohnsen springs to mind as a comparable example (someone I'd have loved for us to have kept for another season, but I digress).

However I can also see why some might dispute the hype/fee level. To me Siggy is someone who will excel, as indeed he has, at a club like Swansea, where his quality will really stand out. As much as I always liked him, he never really struck me as being 'up to' that same kind of prominent role for us, and I expect that this would be repeated were he to go to one of the true top 5/6 clubs again now. Walker, on the other hand, I don't necessarily see looking out of place at the top level....for the time being. Maybe at Everton it'll work for Siggy though. That might be a level at which he will still shine brightly. I hope so.

Add Danny Rose to sale for £50m
And Ryan Sessegnon for £25m

So circa £20m to £25m net cost

Wimmer: He wants to go not being forced out.
Sessegnon: We have made no new bid.

Pape: Surprisingly this has legs
Latest I hear we will get 4 in including saints keeper, sanchez and Barkley ( will be last deal) and somewhat surprisingly diop. Slightly dissaponted by no RB or pacy wide forward type not coming in but what i heard.
Also asked about sessegnon told nothing new since June

Sessengon we want him but not this year.

Aurier not happening, no bid for RS [Ryan Sessegnon], BKD [Keita Balde Diao] unfortunately not happening which is frustrating.
We are looking at wing forwards but the club is calm and things are starting to move. I would be stunned if DS [Davinson Sanchez] doesn't get done but we have been there before,
RB [Ross Barkley] Has agreed PT [personal terms] for sometime again this may be last minute, diop [Pape Chiekh Diop].... This has come from knowhere and I have no clue on that link."

Josh King: we were keen on him until price lol they want 40 m

Barkley: Going to be 25m -30 m we will use this [injury] to drive down price.

Great time-saving tip...use abbreviations, but then type out in full what the abbreviation means.

Really dont see the point in this signing, if true. We aren't awash with cash and to me this isnt a position which needed £20m+ spent on it

You say RB/LB is not a position we needed someone in. I disagree. My only problem with Serge is his mental issues. The dude does absolutely stupid dumb things. He is the Balotelli of full backs. He comes with everything both good and bad.

Putting his off the field stuff to one side is he much of a player? Must have been rated to end up at PSG
