Transfer fred.

Fati is available, have no idea why Barca want rid he is going to be a superstar. Him and Gil if he develops could be our future wide players.

Barca is back to being stupid, they are going to financially risk the club again to bring back Messi, which will mean players need to be sold

Crazy if they let him go in order to bring back Messi for a year or two, no long term planning.
If he is available we should be all over it, but fairly sure every big club would be.

To add to all our problems this summer, I wonder whether we'll be more risk averse with our transfers.

Our largest two signings in recent years, Richarlison and Ndombele, have been far from a huge success so I could see us not wanting to get into that bracket, even if we have the cash
We don't have the cash and I anticipate Levy will cite the lack of CL to justify more economical signings.

If they are not mentally shot from relegation then there's a few class players that could come good.

Madison, ward-prowse, tielemans, meslier, to name but four.

Madison is the only one of those that I'd be interested in. Ward-Prowse is just a dead ball specialist, average at best otherwise, Tielemans has been poor for a couple of years, and Meslier has potential but not sure about him.

Would be brilliant signings, the pair
One to replace son and one to play 10 or right side in a 3

If the barcodes are in we have no hope of landing them. Champs league to offer and probably going to start pushing up their wage ceiling.

We have naff all to offer . No manager no DOF no plan.

Meslier has been poor; was he dropped for Joel Robles?
Maddison comes across like a roostery little t**t that needs a reset.

But they have to offer a player the move up north
That’s put players off before

Never understood why so many on here dislike players on their 'perceived' behaviour. It is usually white English working class kids with a common accent and a bit of swagger.

Some of them I will admit, I don't like. But it strikes me that these are exactly the sort we should be putting in the team, then perhaps we would not be so sexy.

Meslier isn't particularly good, bottom 25% of keepers in the PL I'd say.
I'm always a bit puzzled why people think that about Maddison? He seems to speak well in interviews I've seen and seems dedicated to his football.

Ignoring the Ward-Prowse/Maddison/Barnes type signings, some cheaper and less obvious options could be:
Carlos Alcaraz - would likely be far cheaper than the likes of Maddison and could be a superb player.
Mohammed Salisu - has the physical attributes to become a very good centre back. Would benefit from being loaned back to Southampton to play for a season in the Championship but would be a sensible future looking signing.
Robin K0ch. If we're wanting to persist with a back 3 next year then he would be a better option to have in the centre than Dier. He is better on the ball, better with his positioning and better in the air.
Harry Souter could be a decent centre back if the powers that be at the club decide to lurch to a back 4 manager and want a partner for Romero.
Patson Daka could be a good option as a centre forward if we're bringing in a new manager that employs a high press.

I expected more from Souter TBH
I think there is a player there
I’ve never seen Koch play well TBH, but I haven’t seen much of him
Salisu wants to leave them asap
Alacaraz is a proper brick house but also looks like he can play. I like him

Get Ange in and Souttar could be another one to excite the fan base; a Scottish guy who plays for the Australian national team.
