i'd leave the back 4 as is and add another pace threat going forward, it's liverpool, Alli can handle it
actually, I know, I know, but think it through, throw Townsend in, yeah its Townsend, but look at their full backs, and the keeper (lol), and the centre halves
I agree on leaving the defence alone. Going forward, I would prefer N'Jie to Townsend
good shout, my preference for Townsend would be that he'd shoot at every opportunity, and there are better goalkeepers in my 2yr old's kindergarten class than Mignolet
I'm pretty sure this will be it.I shook my head at so many of midribs posts over the summer. But none so much as his team for tomorrow. Utterly clueless or a wind up merchant. I got the latter!!
Anyways, I'll bet my only testicle, barring last minute injuries the team will be Loris, Walker, Toby, Jan, Davies, Alli, Dembele, Lamela, Erisken, Chadli, Kane
I'll even brave the bench with Vorm, Trippier, Rose, Townsend, Njie, Carroll, Winks
It's Gaelic actually
I would be very worried about playing Fazio against a side with mobile inside forwards and I do not like the idea of splitting up Verts and Toby. There is not a natural central midfield option available but I think that playing one of Dembele, Carroll or Winks would be a safer option.
Lloris
Walker Alderweireld Vertonghen Davies
Alli Dembele
Lamela Eriksen Njie
Kane
Vorm Wimmer Fazio Rose Trippier Townsend Chadli
I'd expect Pochettino to start Chadli ahead of Njie, but I'd prefer to see it happen the other way around myself.
Their front 6 will likely be
-----------Sturridge (Origi)
Coutinho---Lalana------Milner
-------Lucas----Can (Allen)----
Ibe could start on the right and Milner to the middle. Regardless, I am not that worried about their speed. They have not shown that all season.
Apparently Sturrdige is nursing an injury (shocker)
Their decent players but none of them other than Can and Milner look to me to be a player of the ilk that suits the counter attack/deep dressing game that Klopp employs. There also not particularly quick in that group with a few being quick enough but most being average so again it will be interesting to see how Klopps tactics evolve
Tottenham v Liverpool (Saturday, 12.45pm)
Will Jurgen Klopp hit the ground running at Liverpool?
I think this is a hard first game for Jurgen Klopp. Everyone has been away on international duty, and I can see Spurs winning here.
He has not had enough time with the players to get his message across. It will be exciting seeing him in the dugout in the Premier League, but his mood in Thursday's press conference was different to his first conference. It's different over here, and he will need to get used to it.
PAUL PREDICTS: 2-1 (Sky Bet odds 17/2)
