Tottenham Hotspur Women

Sorry, I'm old school, I would rather watch my local pub side than birds football
Not sure what “old school” means in the context of women’s football - you might want to read up on its history. But crack on. No one is making you watch women’s (sorry “bird’s”) football. I don’t watch it myself (apart from getting a last minute ticket to the Euros finals, glory hunter that I am), I don’t really enjoy it. But no need to denigrate something you don’t like. Just don’t comment on a thread that is set up to talk about and support the Spurs women’s team.

Only thing wrong with womens football is the refusal to make the goals smaller.
It's nuts, those goals are designed for men, it makes it very difficult for the keeper.
Other than that like most womens sport it can be a better watch because it's not full of alpha make pratts.

My 11 yr old daughter has been to men’s footy and women’s
She finds the women’s games much more inclusive of fans and far less aggressive and angry
She can also associate herself with some of the players and she goes to school with one the players kids
That affiliation is huge for me as her dad
She doesn’t okay and neither does her brother but both say proudly they are Tottenham fans but know so little about the sport but if taken them to women’s football is a way of getting one of them interested I’m all for it

Each to to their own
Overt half the planet are women and you know what… most I’ve met at football are much nicer than the people with balls
If you watched the Rangers Vs Spurs game last night you may have noticed the fantastic atmosphere. The stadium was almost solely men, like it used to be English top tier football, and it still is on the continent. Our stadium now has a large % of kids, women, and tourists. The inclusivity you enjoy so much is what's killing the atmosphere at games. Women's football matches are watched almost solely by women and kids, and the screeching is ear piercing. Year on year the atmosphere is getting worse at Spurs, and the audience demographic is one reason for this, of course the dreadful football, the rubbish manager. and the vile chairman don't help either.

I remember when stadiums were full of men mostly tinkled & looking for a punch up I know because I was one of them thankfully I changed. I would much prefer a stadium with women & kids if it stops the bad old days coming back

It is not women or children killing the atmosphere at games.
It's people - often older men (there, I can make sweeping generalisations as well) - who use it as 90 mins to moan and complain and do the opposite of supporting.

You sound like the cave you live in is a delightful place
Honestly, I’m stumped how someone could object to over half the world wanting to enjoy 22 people kick a bag of leather (or whatever material a ball is made of now)
I’m no evangelist when it’s come to human rights or anything but I do believe we should all do better and certainly be more respectful and tolerant of others.
I hope the women’s game grows and creates a safe place for those who feel that the men’s audience isn’t for them
That can only be a good thing
