*** Tottenham Hotspur Vs Forest *** OMT

This both true and sad.
We're at a point where the common sense you speak of here is up against the actual type and level of performance/style the manager is producing/having produced.
And I want to be patient, but at the same time, not if it means eventually getting a 'better' version of Frankball because that is both not good enough on the eye and it won't IMO achieve major titles.
A really tricky and sad inflection point...

Then do it. You're in control of your own actions.

I think a big reason Frank is getting this much grief this early is because many (not all, many) put the blame at Ange's feet. HE was the sole problem, and simply replacing him would have us back playing well. Frank is an experienced Premier League manager and he will simply right what the clueless Aussie clam was doing wrong.

You also have the group who hated Ange personally, so they'll go through whatever they have to with Frank and still come out the other side backing him (and blaming Ange for injuries that happened weeks and months after he left!!!)

Yeah, it's pretty obvious that the lack of support on display is heavily linked to last seasons discourse and how everything played out (not that it's as one sided as portrayed of course) - any new manager who didn't get off to a flier was likely to to be on the recieving end as a result of that.

This is a team that have been giving away points for fun for the best part of 18 months with not so much as a whimper of a response - they haven't got an ounce of professional pride between them
Different gravy since Dyche took over. That said, people say our players are rubbish. That's rubbish! We have better players than Forest, and should be able to compete with them every day of the week.

I didn't see the game, so can't really comment on it, but I've seen it so many times before, with different players and different managers. We come into a game against a "lesser" opponent, after a good performance, a d think everything will take care of itself. It doesn't. Then comes the frase "we have to learn from this and bounce back"
When ARE we going to learn? It's happened hundreds of times!!!

Not saying any your proposed changes wouldn't have worked, just suggesting different.
Spence for Porro. Yes Porro does have a good delivery, but it's not been there for a couple of weeks, hitting the first man with an Eriksen like consistency. Porro is possibly being over played.
Tel or Odobert for Richie, move rkm into the middle.
Davies on at lb.
Bergvall for Bentancur.
Porro IS overplayed. That guy needs a break ... I also think Udogie should be sold. In my opinion he has regressed. I don't know if it is the injuries he has suffered or something else.

Can I ask what the point of this cheap shot post was? Is it contempt for what I'm saying? If so, just be honest. If there was a point, make it clearly. If you don't gauge the answer, say so. You seem angry that people won't just fall rank and file into 'back him without questions'.

BTW, my level of 'patience' is irrelevant. He will dictate how long he does or doesn't stay by what he does.
So let's change 'I want to be patient' to 'I want to enjoy the football he is having us play'. And let me give you the definitive you seem to want.
I can't...because it is largely fudging brick!

Here's hoping we find a way through.

The Forest team is more suited to a Dyche way of playing than Ange. I am really disappointed that he took that job.

No anger mate I'm just responding to what i see as the key point of your post - you say that you want to be patient, so be patient 😂

I think that there is a lot of 'I'll give patience, but only if certain criteria is met straightaway' being banded about - that to me is a contradictory position to hold.

Yeah absolutely they did, people backed the fact Ange played two FBs in CB and froze out Dier because they were backing the manager to impose himself. There were lots of concessions made. I was dug out personally for backing the bloke and then when I said I thought he was done, I was dug out again, it happens, thats football BUT it gives you a better view of whats being said on here.

SO yeah tonnes definitely said in the summer they were willing to give the manager time again, there are many on here who are backing him still or at least are open to our issues who 100% said that and were realistic of this seasons ambitions.

I will leave it there because the Frank Bukkake on every topic on here is getting abit much and I have Manchester by the Sea to watch

I'd stick with your original 'tons', rather than adopt the metric unit, as I think the expressions, 'tons on here' or 'a ѕhit-ton of people' would predate mertrification.

1 ѕhit-tonne (1000 kg) ≅ 2200 lb

1 ѕhit-ton (long, UK) = 2240 lb

1 ѕhit-ton (short, US) = 2000 lb

1 ѕhit-tonne ≅ 0.9842 ѕhit-tons

As I said
Before some odd folks jumping on
The forest fan I got speaking to at Bedford station said we were the worst side they have played since the spanked Brighton 7 nil
I actually think this may be their biggest win since then too
Anderson is immense
Exactly want we’re missing
A player who leads by example and just does all the simple things so well
Like Hojberg... I bring this up because it depends on how the player will be used.

Hmmm, no, that was part of a greater point...you missed the 'but' or chose to ignore it.
It's me being honest.
And the only criteria I ever have for our managers is that they play the way I believe this club should play football.

BTW, the key point of my post is that he does not appear interested in building a team beyond the style he knows/executed in the Prem with Brentford. I keep on wanting to believe I am wrong, but week after week the evidence is there. Had we lost at Forest trying to establish good football I'd accept the need for patuence fsr more.

It's definitely not the way I envisaged things going, but I would argue our league position could actually be more precarious than last season's. As many have pointed out, last term's bottom three pretty much always looked doomed regardless, so we never really looked vulnerable to the black swan event of one of them suddenly putting a run of results together. I'm not so confident that'll be true of all three this season.

Burnley and Wolves look like basket cases, but I could see West Ham pulling out of it. Add in the level of toxicity in the stadium and in the wider fanbase, and it creates a positive feedback cycle that might easily run out of control. It's already primed to intensify, IMO. Frank's was a short honeymoon, and he'd be at the mercy of that tide. We need a shot in the arm in the January window, and for any additions we make to hit the ground running in the new year.

We have better players than Forest,.... clearly not!

Guys, football is just a game, and we are a team in transition. Of course it is disappointing when we play terribly but don't forget the players we wanted, needed and failed to buy in the summer. Money will be spent at Christmas. Let's forget the dismal showing and look ahead. I know the people on this board will support the team on Saturday to the max....I'll be bellowing out COYS as loudly as possible.... let's see if a miracle can occur and we can stuff the reds, or if we lose, at least we give it a right good go.
