What an unbelievable chance to get 3rd! All we have to do is calm down, believe in ourselves and play our football and we can get this. Like others have said, I am looking for big performances from Bale and Modric especially as they feel they deserve to play in the CL, now is their chance, this is it - earn it.

Exactly... Too many players feel that CL is their GHod given right. Well I say if you get us there then you deserve to be there

Any team news yet ? Feeling nervous about this match.

If Redknapp can't motivate the players for this match, then he is not fit to be our manager next season. Simiarly, if the players can't lift their game for this match, they deserved to be sold. Anything other than a win will be unforgivable !
 
Hi, refugee from COYS here - didn't post enough apparently - hope this place is more understanding of infrequent posters.

I more nervous for this game than perhaps even the Emirates Marketing Project away game 09/10. There's more at stake in this game. If we hadn't made the CL that season, the squad would have stayed together and we'd have probably got it the following the year without the distraction of CL football.

But if we don't make it this season, the squad will inevitably breaks up and set us back years, and will leave us struggling to find a top money sponsor from next season and attract big name players. And the psychological impact of throwing away such a big lead will have a long term effect.

But here's why I think we'll win today. We were done, down and out, facing the agony of finishing 5th or 4th and having to sweat on the CL final result. But we've been given another chance! Like a cripple who can suddenly walk again, we know the preciousness of what we nearly lost, and that is a powerful and motivating force, and we won't let it slip a second time.

Added to this that Villa are a poor team should see us OK.

That said i am looking forward to it. Should be a decent match, though i can foresee a large amount of time assaulting their goal.


I hope harry manages to inspire them to find a way through..
 
Need a beer to settle the nerves but still got a mouth like Ghandi's flip flop. Not sure i can battle through it
