Tottenham Hotspur V Aston Villa

If he had any pride he'd hold his hands up and admit he's out of his depth and slink back to the footballing backwaters he made his name in the charlatan
This. Apart from the charlatan bit.
Nothing wrong with being excellent in those leagues.
Nothing wrong with not succeeding in England - plenty of top players and managers have struggled.
He's tried - he's failed. We tried something different - we failed. That's sport.
Time to change

What a poisonous situation.

Manager is on the rack, players are devoid of confidence, manager wasn't really helped during the transfer window, and we are whimpering out of another cup.

I don't know if Ange will survive this as spiralling out of two cups in a week will kick confidence further and the league could be horrible now.

Another false dawn and honestly even I may call for a change of owners after this.

What has really hurt us is missing Solanke and Richarlison - Son doesnt offer up any strength in that role even with non-specialist central backs. Also Tel is not ready for this level - he is slower than this level. I hope Spurs dont take up the offer to buy him - I rate Werner higher than him from what I have seen so far.

He should've cleared it, but instead scuffed it to Rogers, shocking defending. There's blame to go around before that as well though.
When you’re scampering on the goal line to make amends for the cr@p that went before I’m happy to give a pass. He’s off balance, wrong footed and last ditch.

The guilt lies with Bissouma walking off of Malen.

This may come as a shock to some but goals often aren’t the fault of the person who makes the last defensive action.
