Tottenham Hotspur v Arsenal OMT

its kind of like looking at a fatal car crash now

you know you don't want to look
but you cant take your eyes off the carnage

ATEOTD - we have to accept that the team didn't show up, and we made the mistake of playing Krancjar, when he was clearly not up to it

Arse*** were a better team today, and thoroughly deserved to win the game.

Its just a pity that we invited them to do it.

I'm going to sign off now, as I cannot bear to read all of the wannabe experts slagging off Harrys tactics or trying to gut the players in print

too many people turn into spectacular ****s after results like this and its pathetic to read

ps - some of you don't need the result

4-5-1 at home ?

Works if youre playing against a team playing 4-4-2 (Liverpool, Saudi Sportswashing Machine etc) but I think against united who will most liekly play a 4-5-1/4-3-3 type tactic, I dont want them overunning us like Arsenal did today, they will punish us much more than Arsenal did thats for sure.

Okay, now the criticisms can begin in earnest. But don't be too harsh, fellas. The same team got us to third, after all, and kept us there, and still keeps us there. I think they've earned a bit of slack.

The worst thing is that at half time and 2-2 we were STILL in the game. The battering in the latter part of the first half by Arsenal was obviously going to continue into the second half, and here was Harry's chance to change things for the better and to STOP that happening. Bringing Lennon's pace on at half time would have made them change their thinking and instead we just let them carry on as they were. We could all see were going to lose by 4 or 5 (or even more) and yet Harry did nothing to stop it.

I feel like punching a horse ! ](*,)

At least we had a 10 point cushion so we barely feel the defeat, other than in morale and the biting we'll get from the Arsenal fans.

Oh well. Time to move on. One less of the really hard games is out of the way. Lets bounce back against Manure.

When we play teams like Arsenal, Chelsea, Utd or City, we need to play 4-5-1 home or away, we need to control the midfield, today showed that.

Teams that wont give us anything and will sit back need to be 4-4-2'ed

One team turned up, one team wanted it.

Hopefully this is the wake up call to keep the players feet on the ground.

I agree, lets not knee-jerk on the strength of this performance.

Yeah it was shocking, and it was against 'them' but we are better than that, and will show it I'm sure against United.

Harry 4 England hasn't done us any favours lost our focus on doing the simple things well.

THose 2 yellows for parker and modric 1st half also had an effect, as the midfield couldn't battle for the game when we needed it.

This is one factor, among many. I think it's best to accept that we were thoroughly beaten, from the first Sagna header. We never recovered, and went on a capitulation of 2009 proportions. The 2-5 against United springs to mind. Two-nil up at half-time, 5-2 down full time. I think deep down, even though we've grown more mentally resolute, there's still that shaky air. As for Ade, for some reason I knew he wouldn't do well. He's a confidence player, and his confidence is very easily broken, even by the opposition who he's supposed to ignore. He didn't. He listened to their chants. And he was put down by it.
