Tottenham Hotspur Stadium - Licence To Stand

Is that Levy's head in the bottom left?

Tottenham have agreed a deal to play Champions League games at Wembley next season.

Spurs are second in the table and chasing the Premier League title, with a place in next season’s Champions League looking more than likely.

The north London giants have notably missed out on a top four spot on more than one occasion in recent history, though their agreement would also include Europa League matches.

According to The Sun, Tottenham have pipped Chelsea to a deal, though the Blues are extremely unlikely to be in Europe next season anyway.

Tottenham will be moving out of their old stadium in 2017, and have also been in talks about playing league games at the national stadium for the 2017/18 campaign.

you'd have to think that's a precursor to a complete move there while WHL is being redeveloped, if true

A clever move if true (from perspective of a PL campaign) if it gets us familiar with playing at Wembley ahead of a season long move.

Would be nice to have European nights at the Lane one last time..
Agree. Leaving aside any tactical or other benefit to playing CL at Wembley it would be a great shame not to have CL at WHL in our last season in the current ground.

Good points made by both of you. Really would be nice to see European nights at the Lane one last time, but definitely think playing a few matches at Wembley to get used to it. My worry playing a season there is for the first half of the season we lose a bit of home advanatge, more like playing at a neutral venue until it feels like 'our' home venue

brick news, crap ground. Can't believe we're robbing WHL of those glory glory nights. Didn't arsenal do this and royally fudge it up?

Be very interesting what they tell the box holders who have just signed up for next season...

The guys I know have the box for next season agreed and there was no mention of Europeans games not being at the Lane

I think it was the opposite, they doubled their money iirc

On the pitch they W2 D1 L3 and didn't progress out of the group either year, so that was quite unsuccessful.

But the whole point was to prove they could fill 60k re getting financial backing to build the Emirates.
