I find this post extremely offensive and childish to an extent.
- From ALL your posts that I have read, you think that Joe Lewis is a bad owner. Can you name some that are good. Please don't include Russian crooks or oil playboys.
- According to you we have waited for over 5 years to build a stadium. Well, dear sir, we have in fact waited longer. Can you suggest how it could have been done earlier. Would your ideal owner have sorted the problem with the CPO any earlier and / or better.
- You believe that because of the extra TV money, building the stadium becomes obsolete AND a waste of everyone's time. That is a great attitude. I don't know if you are a TRUE Spurs fan, but there are thousands of fans who can't tickets to watch our great team. If we want to grow our fan-base, we have to have more bums on the seats.
- With the FFP rules, we need EVERY bit of extra revenue to compete with our rivals.
- Your comment : Has the boat sailed, is the one I really love. As someone who makes his living dealing in stocks and funds, it is often better to let a boat sail - if you are unsure or not ready. After all, boats sail all the time. You just have to find the right one.

Please firstly state why its EXTREMELY offensive! I think your a bit OTT there.
Yes dear Sir we have waited longer, we have waited since Levy and Lewis came to ownership and was left a plan by David Buchler, in that plan which was written in 2000/01 he pinpointed what needed to be done for the club to progress, before leaving and handing the day to day running of the club to Daniel Levy, but I am sure it was probably muted before then. But still yes the club under ENIC finally decided to pull the rabbit out of its arse... regarding building the new stadium at the same time they were getting untold bad press and supporter unrest of there sacking of Martin Jol. 2008.
Buchler's main points at the time of handing over to Levy
• To focus on the development of young players rather than buying expensive established stars. That money would be better-spent, the review says, on the club's youth academy.
• To revamp the club's marketing department to promote the Spurs brand around the world.
• To redevelop the club's White Hart Lane ground from a 36,000 to 44,000 capacity. (Spurs already have preliminary planning permission from Haringey Council to complete the work but they want Haringey to improve transport links to the stadium first).
Regarding the CPO, I do not know, and neither do you what was offered and what it would have taken for Archway to move. I believe, because it is the Levy way that they probably offered the going rate and maybe 15-25%, but this is all guesswork, just as it is with regards saying that Archway wanted 20m. Why would you move from your premises if you always know that your going to get the market rate anyway. Everything regarding figures in this area is simply guesswork by everyone apart from those that know.
Yes, the bit about it being a waste of time.. my point of that statement is that it was in regard to building it in relation to closing the gap on match day revenue, and that because of TV and commercial income the idea of building the stadium has become pointless in this respect.. and no other reason. I have been a large voice on here regarding the closed shop of season ticket holders (me being season ticket holder) and the youngsters coming though to support and join us on match days. I look around and it really is depressing the number of under 16s that are not able to see Tottenham. I have long campaigned for better family prices and tickets. But I see abuse of this, At the beginning of the season I sold my match ticket for the home game to Liverpool on Stub Hub and purchased two tickets in the family enclosure. One for me the other for my Nephew. What did we find when we got there.. in my eye shot I counted no more than 10 youngsters in and around me, but plenty of middle aged men and retired folk, this I found upsetting especially as we had to sit two seats away to someone intent on swearing and offering disparaging remarks every 30 seconds.. family area yeah OK. So I do understand the need to build the stadium for other reasons. I did also think my post was regarding monetary reasons too, maybe I assumed that people would understand that was where the viewpoint was coming.
